A gem we came across on our last visit to The Ivy, the Duck liver parfait.
Every year they do a festive menu, and this year did not disappoint with this delight.
Served with caramelised hazelnuts, truffle, redcurrant chutney, and a side of toasted brioche.
Both creamy and delicious, the subtle hints of truffle pair well when mixed with the caramelised hazelnuts, giving it a sweeter taste, balanced out by the redcurrant chutney. We highly recommend you give it a try.
The Ivy is known for its excellent ambience and great service, which is only highlighted by its fabulous menu.

Another one from our trip to Croatia, but this one is special! We had the pleasure to visit Meneghetti in Bale, and this is why it became our favourite restaurant in Istria.
Besides the jaw-dropping scenery and beautiful aesthetic of the Hotel itself, Meneghetti offers an unparalleled food experience to match.
The Oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious for tasting and paired well with the bottle of Malvasia we had. Just enough to open up your appetite but not too much to override your palette.
The beef tartare was exceptional pre-seasoned with celery, mustard, and pickles served with freshly toasted sourdough bread and butter. Delicious and a must-have if you’re visiting.
We definitely recommend Meneghetti for both food and stay if you’re able to they’re winery and Hotel are both worth a visit and worth the price for the experience.

Very contemporary cuisine in an old Taverna Pod Voltom which we came across on our trip to Motovun, Croatia.
This dessert features ravioli filled with fig and truffle covered with a sweet fig sauce and topped with truffle shavings.
A very unique and tasty dessert, it blends the earthiness of the truffles and the sweet fig to form a beautiful blend of flavors.
We recommend Pod Voltom for anyone that enjoys modern mixed with old cuisine.

Latest one from our trip to Istria, we had the pleasure of visiting a small family restaurant in rural areas of the region, these places are known as “Konoba” and more than likely serve some of the best food you will have in Croatia.
All of the meals were more than satisfying but the crown jewel is this beautiful Truffle Pasta. The pasta is a traditional Istrian pasta known as “Fuži” they resemble small flutes.
Served hot with creamy truffle sauce and White truffle shavings this timeless dish is fulfilling and will leave any truffle lover begging for more!

We stopped by recently where we had the pleasure of having a filling yet not an over the top lunch experience. The ambience was quite romantic with soft music and a beautiful interior.
The burrata was rich and creamy, paired nicely with the pesto and the fresh tomatoes giving an overall incredible mix of flavours.
The beef tartare once mixed well with the egg yolk was rich in flavour and pre seasoned spices.
Overall the experience was a 4.3/5 recommended that you check it out as you won’t be disappointed!

Sarma is one of the most popular, traditional dishes in the Balkans.
There are a few ways of preparing it, but it always consists of a minced meat filling that’s wrapped in cabbage.
They say a good steak sauce should enhance the flavour of the meat, which is exactly what we did!
We were feeling posh, so we served it with a delicious truffle mash.
A sweet version of French toast that is hard to resist. 🤤
Beef Wellington is one of those dishes that has been popular for so many years, so we got curious and tried to do our own.
We made a mushroom duxelles and smothered the beef that was previously seasoned and then wrapped it in puff pastry.
There are a few ways of preparing this dish and side options, that is obviously up to each taste.
Our Sinner dish is definitely a dirty one.
French trimmed rack of lamb, seasoned and covered in mustard and a pistachio paste served on a truffle mash bed.
