I have been struggling to get some artwork for the restaurant and asked Manpreet to take some pics while she was there for inspiration. Not bad wifey, not bad at all.. 😊

4 years today…
since the stupidest thing I have ever done and yes I am talking about opening East West, channa masala and a Margherita pizza do not belong on the same menu, anywhere. I was naive enough to think that if we made good quality food, people will come but boy was I wrong. We were making amazing food but nobody knew because again, WTF is a butter chicken arancini!! Yeah I know, can’t picture it can you?

I don’t blame you, It took me until 3 years to truly figure out what we are about, it was only then I was able to communicate it to others. , .design and Paulina helped with that. , , kept doing their thing and slowly more and more people kept showing up. And here we are 4 years later, busier than ever.

But we are not having a big party today. Because Manpreet is not here today to celebrate with me. East West would not be where it is without Manpreet, my wife, chief taste tester but what many dont know also a full time carer to our 14 year old disabled son. She ran the house alone and helped me at work while I was trying to build this after Covid, through lockdown with very little money. She stood by me when times were tough and believed in me and she is not here today.
She is currently away at work for a few weeks and I don’t feel like celebrating without her, so we will have a big party next month when she’s back.

I will have a quiet one though just to say thank you to all the wonderful people past and present who have helped me get us to where we are, so raise a glass to the stupidest thing I have ever done.and lived to tell the tale, Happy Birthday East West…🥂🥂

Merry Xmas everyone🎄. Hope you have all been good this year and getting spoiled, I know I am. It’s been a good year so I am going to count my blessings and enjoy this rest before preparing for a busy new year..🤞 Happy holidays and hopefully you all get what you want for Xmas.🎄🎉

Devinder spends equal amounts of time in the kitchen and mingling with diners. Acting as our head pizza chef, he’s responsible for getting our Neapolitan style pizza bases perfect every time (and, yes, he’s a perfectionist). When not in the kitchen, he loves chatting with our customers and hearing their feedback on our food.

Mirza joined us as head chef in 2021. He came with a wealth of experience, with a roster of restaurants under his belt that included The Cinnamon Club and Gordon Ramsay. He creates everything from our small plates to the wonderful sauces for pizza and marinade for the delicious tandoori chicken. ⁠
