THE BOOM BOOM COMEDY CLUB was launched in 2019. Sadly, like many other local businesses and events we closed in March 2020.... barely out of nappies for The BOOM BOOM Comedy Club BABY
This was a blow to the comedy industry and the Arts. After a long journey and a mountain of paperwork we are finally back! Our relaunch is Thursday July 15th 8pm.

We now have a licensed bar upstairs and drinks can be pre ordered at the bar. So don't delay tickets are limited and all profit from this event will go towards our Charity ACT2 AID. Message from founder Amanda Goodwin
Having grown up with a professional stand-up comedian for a father and most weekends and school nights spent in the smoke-filled grubby underbelly of northern working men’s clubs, comedy has always been my passion and I’m thrilled we are finally re opening. I spend a lot of time selecting the comedians and I hope you can enjoy spreading the laughter that’s long overdue.

Hi March audience, I will be contacting you shortly for our September 24th gig and October 1st. From October 8th tickets will go on sale for our ongoing nights. we aim to run twice a month now with a 50% cut in audience to abide by the new health and safety COVID measures. Hi all,
Had some good news today about BOOM BOOM Comedy Club
It looks like we can come back with half capacity audience and wait for it!!!!
maybe no laughing, you can’t make this crap up. This will hopefully change by September. However with the split audiences I am aiming to run every second/third Thursday of the month with the same line up and still run it like a competition with the final now taking place Dec/ Jan.
The team will be in touch shortly with our original March audience to offer you one of the new dates currently Thursday September 17th and Thursday September 24th for the first round.Please note in this mad mad world this is subject to change.
I am sure there will be a whole host of other rules but I will be able to get them all to you asap.

Exciting news The Boom Boom Comedy Club may have a new venue ( Outdoor Beer Garden ) East London Venue nr Walthamstow.The pub said they will shut it to other punters so it’s just a comedy audience. Does anyone have any more details than the Gov.Uk ones re capacity on this?
I’ll be in touch with all the comics that were booked for March /April but if anyone else wants a 6/8 min open mic spot please email your link to [email protected] for more info as once we get the green light we will run Every 2nd Thursday.We are still aiming to run this as a paid final later in the year with invited industry in the audience. Comics have had a crap old time and fingers crossed we can all work again soon — with Geoff Alderman and 2 others.

It is with regret that following on from The latest government report in particular live performances, The BOOM BOOM may not reopen till much later in the year and to a 3rd of the audience capacity. As you know this monthly club is a charity event and 100% of profit was for ACT2 AID. We have made the decision to refund all April -May - June tickets and this should be with you in 10 working days. Due to the March tickets sales already used for the materials and equipment for the charity trip we will be securing your tickets for the first available night and fingers crossed that will be September. We would also like to offer our March audience priority tickets for our GRAND FINAL in 2021

Fabulous news The Boom Boom Comedy club is making baby steps for a soft opening in July. All comedians that were booked for March - April your spots are secure and I’ll contact you directly with dates. Due to our 60 capacity audience under review we will be running 2 Thursday’s a month and still having a grand final later in the year for industry professionals to attend. Please send clips to [email protected] for a spot. We are offering 6/8 mins and a 15min headliner.
