One of the lovely ladies that I did the hair for on I’m really enjoying the new season! Are you?

Throwback to my youthful days at 20!
Fresh out of , I resourcefully set up a little stall at my local summer fair in Barnes, offering face paintings for just £1. Despite nearly breaking my back that day 😂, I pocketed £80. What an incredible experience it was!
I also had the amazing opportunity to freelance with a local photography studio, doing makeovers for their clients, which helped to launch my career into the exciting world of makeup artistry.

Wow! 25 years ago today the opened its doors at the West End Prince of Wales theatre. 🎭
I had the privilege of working on it as Deputy Wig Mistress, helping set up the show and crafting hair, wigs, and some makeup for the cast, including who played Sophie.
Though I don’t have photos from that time (no mobile phone cameras back then), the memories and this signed poster from the wonderful cast and crew remain cherished mementos. Did you have the chance to see the show back then? I’d love to hear your memories.

Hello! I’m Amanda, and I’ve been perfecting the art of hair and makeup for over 30 years!
I began my journey by training at a hairdressing salon straight out of school, where I quickly discovered my passion for making people look and feel their best. In 1989, I earned a distinction in hairdressing and cosmetic makeup, paving the way for even more learning experiences.
My pursuit of knowledge led me to the prestigious Delamar Academy of Makeup in London, where I honed my craft and graduated in 1991. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on numerous high-profile productions, including iconic shows like Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Mamma Mia.
I toured with several shows in the UK including the incredible Torvill & Dean and I lived and worked in Basel, Switzerland for a year too.
I’ve also contributed to films and tv shows including Mission Impossible, See How they Run, Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte and the recent release, Argylle.

After my own wedding in 2002. Fueled by my personal experience and understanding of the importance of looking flawless on the big day, I founded my own business. To provide brides-to-be with an unforgettable experience, combining my expertise with a personal touch.

In June 2020, I stumbled upon Tropic Skincare - a game-changer that transformed my own skin. Now, as a proud ambassador, I’m on a mission to help you achieve radiant, glowing skin every day.

Based in South East London, I also serve the surrounding areas of Kent and Surrey. Whether you’re walking down the aisle or preparing for a special event, I’m here to make you look and feel your very best.
