Henna, for me, is a form of therapy, expression and connection.
The art of Henna was a social affair, ingrained in many cultures.
My aim is to continue making this art of adornment accessible for all while providing the opportunity of authentic cultural education.
Henna has no boundaries.
Over the years, I have done wedding parties, bridals, fashion
shoots, creative campaigns, pregnancy belly blessings, art therapy workshops, teaching, supported cancer charities, and humanitarian fundraisers.
The common theme of ‘blessing with henna’ reoccurs in every culture.
We hope you get to experience a bit of this joy with us today.

I am a South Asian Fashion designer who designs to highlight the diaspora, and celebrate our experiences of Diasporic displacement. Heavily inspired by my in-between identity, I aim to empower myself through the education of my heritage, and bring that through my creativity. I curate pieces that showcase my character, whilst also being a voice for the diaspora. Each piece is made with the determination to reclaim the culture that I feel disconnected with, and with celebration of the journey the diaspora are constantly going through.

HEY, I AM AMISHA, THE PROUD FOUNDER OF HOT BELLY PICKLES.
As a child raised in a vibrant indian gujarati household. the presence of pickles or ‘athanu’ as we called it, was an absolute necessity alongside pretty much all meals. it wasn’t just a condiment, it was the heartbeat of our dining table. I suppose my love and passion for pickles were woven into the very fabric of who I am from an early age. I was always known as the one who loved spice and pickles.
Years on after many years travelled and developing some kitchen skills as you do (haha). I decided to recreate those mouth- watering cherished moments but with a fresh and contemporary twist.
Naturally, I reached out to my mum and since then we embarked on the journey of making, testing and savouring every batch. Before we knew it HOT BELLY PICKLES was born!
With my husband being Mauritian, we travelled and I got inspired by how similar we were from the cooking to the culture. Our lovely journey led us to combine the two cultures together to create 4 incredible pickle flavours.
HOT BELLY PICKLES is not just a brand, it is a labour of love, a fusion of tastes and a testament to the joy we’ve experienced from crafting the perfect pickle. we hope you love it as much as we do!
