Today has been a sad day. I had to say goodbye to my old friend. The beauty bus, my salon on wheels, my office, my work wagon, my saviour. 12 years of memories created with this machine, camping, festivals, holidays. But above all, the heart of lovetobeloved. I couldnt have pampered you witbout her. She has been with me since the start of my mobile beauty therapy journey and has served me so well. Its amazing how attached I'd become. Madness! Not sure what I'll do without u, literally. Tears were shed as you can imagine. RIP my loyal friend.

I absolutely love this picture of my amazing Mum and Dad, 45 years ago today on their wedding day.💒 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. They look gorgeous ❤️ AND, what...? 45 years??!! That's good. Inspirational. I miss them so much. I haven't seen them since February 2020 as they live in the Isle of man and Covid says NO. 😢 BUT... I get to see them a week today... We will be reuinted!!!!! I couldn't be more excited. I literally cannot wait. 😍😍😍😍. Its gonna be emotional.

Hey guys Just thought it was time to do a little intro to let you know about me and my story and how I got to where I am.

Ive been a beauty therapist for about 18 years now ( yes I am that old). I got my 'calling' to the beauty industry in my first year of uni at Leeds. I was doing a degree in Sport Health Exercise and Nutrition but couldn't see myself in any jobs related to that. I remember clearly my light bulb💡 moment. Sat painting daisys on all my friends finger nails one night in student halls... do you remember .uk? I thought to myself "I'd love to do this all day every day and get paid for it". And so that was it from that moment on. I finished my degree of 3 years but was always feeling worried during careers meetings or talk of what we wanted to do after uni, if I told people they would laugh at me. I was worried people would think my degree was a waste. I was so focused and knew this was where I needed to be. I got a day job in a bank in Headingley (that was an experience in itself 🏦😝) and paid for myself to go to night school to get my ITEC beauty specialist and Massage diploma. 💆‍♀️ I loved every minute of it. There were a few eye brow mishaps along the way (ahem🤨😬 ) but I couldn't have been more delighted when qualified.💥

I got my first job in a clarins salon whilst saving for my round the world trip. 🗺️ I moved to London after my trip where I got experience working in many amazing salons the best of all being 😍. Going mobile seemed like the next step and after another trip round the globe I took the plunge, went solo and have never looked back.

I feel so lucky to be living my dream and couldn't love my job any more. It gives me so much joy to make people happy and I have met some of the most awesome people along the way and made some amazing friends through my clients.

Remember.... everyone I have done either shellac or OPI polish recently, my top tips for keeping them looking fresh are :

💅 Wear gloves for washing up/ gardening /household chores

💅Cuticle oil twice daily or whenever you have had your hands in water.

💅Never use your nails as a tool for opening cans etc. Grab a spoon if something and save yourself chips.

💅 Book in for regular manicures to keep them amazing.

🌼No double dipping of spatulas.

🌼Only hot wax used for bikini areas = no trauma to the skin. My clients keep telling me it's the least painful wax they have ever had. 💥
