We are united in our efforts to help to save the clouded leopard.

Panthera knows it is critical to identify clouded leopard habitat, provide them wildlife corridors for connectivity, effectively monitor these populations and provide solutions in the agricultural sector to destructive deforestation if the clouded leopard is to persist and thrive.

As Clouded Leopards climb the trees, so too is Taihoku Tea reaching to the sky. Taihoku strives to rise to the highest heights. Proceeds from sales will help bring back the clouded leopards in Taiwan.

Every time we enter the mountains we see evidence of teeming wildlife that is bordering on out of control.

Clouded Leopards are the best climbers in the cat family, spending most of their time in trees and are able to hang upside down from branches? That's why they are nicknamed the "monkey cat".

In the mythology of an indigenous tribe of Taiwan, it is strongly believed that a Clouded Leopard guided the original forefathers to their ancestral land where they have now lived for centuries.

At Taihoku Tea we are donating 25% of sales of our full range of teas to a magnificent effort by local zoologists, in partnership with indigenous tribes of Taiwan, to reintroduce the Clouded Leopard into its natural habitat.

There are estimated to be less than 10,000 clouded leopards left in the wild. Drink Taihoku so they can stir freely again.

We have made it our mission to make tea for tails, and save the clouded leopard. 25% of our proceeds will go directly to clouded leopard reintroduction efforts.

The Clouded Leopard is a charismatic, medium-sized cat which prowls landscapes from dense, moist forests, to dry ones, woodlands, mangroves and even though it is found in South East Asia their habitat is shrinking every year.

Choosing the tea from the right farm, roasting the ones we want to age and selecting the finest leaves for different levels of roasting for our green, black and oolong teas. Making fine tea, we have humbly learned, is an art, a science, and of course, as with anything related to weather, a large dose of good luck. We always reserve a batch to roast for aging purposes. This becomes our aged teas.
