We are going sun seeking ourselves this week and making the most of being able to travel during term time!

Our original olive soaps are naturally made using the traditional hot process.

There’s no additional additives or chemicals which cause irritation to skin meaning our soaps are perfect for all skin types including sensitive skin.

🌿 Olive Oil ~ which is made into soap (saponified) by boiling in a vat with water and lye.

🌱 Laurel Oil ~ naturally antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial, the addition of laurel oil makes our soaps perfect for helping to soothe any skin ailments you may have.

🫧 Glycerin ~ plant derived glycerin is added only in the smallest quantity (

Many of you know that our soaps are totally natural and fragrance free. But did you know there are no added colourants either?

The change in colour from deep green to soft golden is the result of our soap’s extra long drying process of nine months!

All our bars are green once poured and the drying process not only adds to their longevity but also results in their beautiful two tone bar once they have been cut by us here.

If you choose one of our traditional blocks then the green inside will be slowly revealed as you use your bar.

As you may have noticed, I’ve been a little quieter than usual on here this week.

Mainly just life admin building up alongside running a small business but I’ve also been helping out my husband as he has a big contract job coming up so that’s been taking up quite a bit of time.

But we are still here and still fulfilling orders in the background. It was such a pleasure to receive our first subscription customer this week!

After much research and discussion, we are so proud of the dish we have selected to add to our range. These are a custom order and have been adapted to include lots of the things you asked for when sharing your ideas.

Can you guess what wood they are made from? I promise that it’s very fitting with our soaps 😉

Our weekend was packed with days out and family adventures. We also took our son for his first haircut!

I shared on our stories yesterday that we have just placed an order for a run of soap dishes for to add to our collection. I can’t wait to share more about the history and production of them - you know there’ll be a story!

They’re not coming off some big brand production line though so you’re going to need to hold on just a little longer so we can get them ready for you. But I promise it will be worth it!

In the meantime, our full range of soaps is available on our website and we will be in Hastings old town on Sunday 11th Feb for our first in person event of the year

Excited to be getting out to markets again this year and our first one is only a couple of weeks away!

We will be in the beautiful old town of Hastings where I grew up so this is a lovely one for me to do.

This is a great market for stocking up on Valentines/galentines gifts as well as a spring refresh.

After a busy weekend celebrating my 30th, we are back to it and ready to go again.

This week, we will hopefully be finalising an order for some amazing soap dishes that I am so excited to be able to bring to our collection. Once everything is confirmed, I’ll get a little sneak peek arranged so we can show you all.

Our single bars are hand cut here in London from our traditional blocks.

Each one shows off the beautiful, natural olive green that all our bars started off as.

There’s no additional colouring or dyes used in our soaps; the change in colour occurs due to the long nine month drying process which hardens each bar.

As a result, not only are our bars long lasting but they reveal this soft green within.

Good morning!

Only halfway through the week and it already feels like it’s been so busy! The holidays are a distant past now and it’s all settling back into some sort of routine over here.

This morning I am attending ‘s workshop on how to make the most of social media and I’m so excited to learn more!

Hoping that your ‘Blue Monday’ hasn’t been so bleak after all.

Seeing so many posts today about how it’s all been artificially created by big businesses to boost sales and it’s really made me reflect on how important being part of the small business community is.

I love seeing the people and stories behind a business and know that people who buy from them are investing, not only in a product or service, but in a person who they trust to provide that for them.

I hope that by breaking down this image of Blue Monday, we are able to connect more with the business that we know, trust and return to time and again.

Receiving feedback from our customers is the loveliest thing!

My goal for this 2024 is all about building a community and getting to know our valued customers. Receiving feedback like this is what it’s all about.

If you weren’t sure about trying our soap, then hopefully hearing the views of our existing users will help you.

Our soaps are incredibly mild in their scent as described here. This is because our traditional bars don’t include any additional scents or fragrances. So if you usually find that scented soaps irritate your skin, then give this one a go!

As a mum to a 16 month old myself, I have used our soaps with my baby in the full confidence there are no added nasties at all!

Due to moving boxes about over Christmas, unfortunately some of our packaging has been a little damaged. Don’t worry! The soaps are still in perfect condition - but we wanted to give you the opportunity to get yourself a little slice of luxury at a discounted price.

After much consideration and discussion with focus groups, there was clear demand for our double bar box.

Rather than the full size block, we found that if you prefer to use our soap as a hand wash rather than for use on the body or as a shampoo, then this option was perfect.

You still receive the full block, but hand cut in half to reveal the natural olive green inside and the flexibility to use in multiple places in the home.

Our double bar soap is presented in a beautiful, uncoated box and accompanied by a carefully designed card telling you more about our soap’s rich history.

Did you know that our soap has a rich history dating back centuries?

The process begins by heating a mixture of olive oil with lye and water in large vats which saponfies the oil. The ingredients are carefully blended and stirred for three days to achieve the desired consistency at which point laurel bay oil is added.

Once the soap mixture thickens, it is poured onto a large slab and left to set for 24 hours. Individual bars are then cut by skilled artisans before being stamped by hand.

The bars then cure for 9 months which allows the soap to harden and mature, enhancing its quality, texture, and properties.

The result is a mild, nourishing soap with a unique combination of olive and laurel oils, making an Aleppo soap renowned for its natural and skin-friendly qualities.

A little work, taking stock and packing orders which is never as easy when you have a toddler running around and inspecting the goods but made for some cute pics nonetheless 🥰

Who can use our soap?

Anyone! Aleppo soap is made using olive oil and laurel oil which provides a natural, nourishing clean without the need for any additives!

Our soap may not foam and lather like your regular store bought soap, but the silky smooth wash will leave your skin feeling soft without any irritation.

Rest assured our soap is suitable for use on all skin types including sensitive skin, dry skin and even on children!

Let’s talk packaging…

🌿 When starting our small business, it was important to us that we use little to no plastic at all. This goes so far as to choosing uncoated card for our boxes which, although costing extra, doesn’t add cost to the environment.

🤲🏻 While our most sought after soap is the traditional block, we realised that there was demand for a smaller, easy to use hand soap. So we decided to hand cut our 9 month dried bars into halves and hand wrap them. These are the beautifully folded packages you will receive from us, finished with a Legacy Soap Co. sticker.

Made using over 99% olive oil and laurel oil, our soaps are naturally packed full of goodness.

Olive oil is known for its deeply moisturising properties as well as being a gentle cleanser. It is suitable for use on both body and hair, and can be used on all skin types.

Laurel oil, although less well known, is the hidden superstar in our soap. Laurel oil is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial so you can be confident that your soap is fully cleansing without the need for any harsh chemicals included.

With only one more week to get your Christmas orders in, I thought I’d give you a little look at our three options…

🌿 The traditional block is a classic Aleppo soap in its original form. These blocks are approx. 180g each and are perfect for use as a body wash or shampoo bar. As you use your bar, you will slowly reveal the olive green inside over time.

🌿 Next we have our single bars. These are hand cut by us here in London from the traditional blocks to provide an easier to handle day-to-day bar, perfect for use as a hand soap or a bar for the shower. Each single bar is hand wrapped in tissue with a Legacy Soap sticker.

🌿 Becoming one of our most popular options is the double bar. Here we have two of the singles together in a beautifully presented box. A great gift idea but also perfect to have a set of hand soaps for your home.
