CHRISTMAS PARTIES

Looking back at this gorgeous Christmas party styled and dressed last year at the Hurlingham Club.

Using wall drapes and a starcloth backdrop to soften the room, with a rotating large mirrorball and uplighters.

Cut birch trees with fairy lights and gothic carousel candelabra flanked the walls, while the tables were filled with candle lanterns.

Cosy, festive and elegant for the ultimate party feeling.

We absolutely loved working with Nikki from The Toast]] to dress for this wonderful party recreating a Mexican Tulum beach vibe.

We created a bespoke matrix overhead which was dressed with our festoon filament drops and finished with these fabulous wicker shades arranged by The Toast]].

Added colour was provided by our sound-to-light uplighters.

Gobos

You may have seen our “Mr & Mrs” gobo projection in photos from Farbridge weddings projected onto the floor in front of our soft partition drape.

Gobos can be used in other positions too - basically anywhere there is a flat surface which light can be projected onto. Onto the dance floor or onto a wall works really well, anywhere there is a natural focal point.

And they can include different words or symbols. We have stock gobos like “Mr & Mrs” and “All You Need Is Love”, pictured here, and we can also create customised gobos perhaps with your initials, a logo or phrase which is meaningful to you.

This pretty picture from A & B’s wedding uses a gobo projection to provide a backdrop to the top table.

We close our books three months beforehand so we can ensure that we have all the staffing, vehicles and equipment prepped and ready to go for our bookings.

Smoke and Mirrors!

Many of our installations require a little more thought and planning than you might expect at first glance, and this floating canopy of lanterns at King’s College Cambridge is no exception!

You see, there isn’t anything to hang the lanterns from. A problem we often encounter when marrying a styling wish list to a chosen venue.

So when we were asked to design this scheme, we had to think outside the box.

We designed a hanging system which could sit inside the fabric of the building, which wouldn’t damage the beautiful historic interior, but which also wouldn’t look unsightly or overly visible.

We think it worked! Would you agree?

There aren’t many jobs where you are lucky enough to receive thank you letters from your clients, and we never take these for granted.

We love hearing from our clients and feel humbled and privileged to play a part in their life events and celebrations.

First impressions always count.

There are lots of ways to set the scene for an event, giving your guests a first glimpse of what’s in store.

We loved dressing this private party for and the scheme used was simple but very effective.

This stunning house was illuminated using a red colour wash, with fairy lights draped throughout the shrubs lining the frontage.

The perfect first impression for a Moroccan themed private party.

WEDDING SHOWCASE

We are thrilled to be exhibiting at the wedding showcase on Sunday 12th March at Farbridge.

Doors open from 11am till 3pm.

WISTERIA

This beautiful ceiling canopy was created last Summer for R and E’s wedding using our faux wisteria.

We installed a catenary wire matrix in a zig zag formation between the beams of the Castle Barn and dressed this with a mass of real and faux foliage and faux wisteria.

The perfect canopy for a romantic barn wedding reception.

So this is how my wedding season kicked off..... with the absolutely gorgeous R & R 'finally' having their day ( you may have seen the BTS on stories)⚡️

These guys first got in contact back in 2018 looking for help with styling, props and furniture for their day. Together we meticulously planned all the details of their wedding - lots of foliage and and subtle nods to the grooms Indian heritage - and we came so painstakingly close to seeing it past the goal posts (their original date was in April 2020! 🙈) but of course Covid rudely ripped it away.

Fast forward to Easter 2022 after a bunch of Zoom calls and a slightly adapted styling master plan we got there! And MAN was it epic! 💫

I can't tell you how good it was to see all the long awaited plans come together and be part of such an absolutely brilliant supplier work force. The fabulous team at were incredible as always, brought her magic and TONS of woody scented foliage, created not 1 but 4 amazing cakes and installed those fabulous drapes and fairy lights.

R&R thank you for having me 🙏🏻
