This week we officially signed the Forest by YOO, which will be a design-led lifestyle hotel and residences located amongst tropical forest at the southern end of Patong Beach, Phuket. Set to open in 2026, designed by YOO Design Studio, the development will be a showcase of YOO Studios award-winning design and will be designed to limit impact on the existing forest and seek to enhance with the addition of tropical gardens. Spread over two separate zones, both properties will deliver on the YOO ethos of enriching lives through exceptional lifestyle experiences and extraordinary living spaces.

The YOO2 hotel is set to be a vibrant destination with expansive amenities and facilities designed to allow all guests to re-connect and leave re-energised and invigorated.The 131 By YOO villa residences will be luxurious, fully serviced private escapes designed to allow guests and owners to make the most of spending time with family and friends. A cultural landmark reborn .uk is one of the largest regeneration and re-purposing projects in Europe.

Developed by and Deutsche Finance International this incredible transformation is being constructed to BREEAM Excellent and will include impactful environmental initiatives, such as introducing and promoting biodiversity with the addition of green roofs that will provide food resources and homes for a variety of species.

Adding to what will be an incredible ski-in, ski-out experience in the Canadian Laurentians, the YOO interior designed .ca resort in Tremblant, Quebec has placed sustainability and respect for the surrounding nature at its fore.



Each home features energy-efficient design as well as the use of eco-responsible materials that have been sourced locally.



Equally important, the resort will respect the incredible natural beauty of its surroundings by integrating within the existing landscape, minimising the presence of parking, and the preservation of woodland whilst enhancing trails and access to nature in Mont-Tremblant.

We are excited to announce the launch of L'Hymne Des Trembles in Tremblant, Quebec, Canada designed by YOO Studio.

Located in the heart of the Lauretian Mountain range, leading Canadian real estate developer Brivia Group are creating the ultimate ski-in ski-out experience which is the first YOO designed ski resort in Canada.

This is the first YOO-branded resort project in Canada and the first ski resort of its kind - a truly sustainable mixed use real estate project, with a huge focus on nature and the environment. YOO has worked hard to ensure the design will integrate with the natural landscape, with a focus on mountain living in perfect harmony with nature. A true ski-in/ski-out approach will be at the heart of the Versant Soleil. The project includes more than 500 residential units including Mountain Homes, Mountain Towns and Mountain Condos with a wonderful village like community.

The Yoo Design Studio team were recently invited to the exclusive Hansgrohe Aquademie experience and factory trip in Schiltach, Germany.

We are super excited to announce that we are partnering with the Hung Thinh Corporation on our very FIRST YOO project in Vietnam – the Hollywood Hills, a new subdivision at MerryLand Quy Nhon.

The private villas will be designed by YOO Inspired by Starck and will boast incredible views over the Hai Giang peninsula.

Launching in 2025, The Alpha Plus Group will be opening The Wetherby Arts School at Olympia - a new performing arts and educational senior school. The school will also provide various educational, creative and cultural opportunities for the local community as part of a unique partnership with the BRIT School. We, alongside the entire development team, are committed to making Olympia a place where arts and culture thrives!

With drawing to a close, we asked what he thinks the future holds for placemaking;

“I definitely predict there needing to be an interactive, and possibly educational twist. By this I mean programming of events and activities to attract talent and curiosity to large projects. Ted talks, artist in residence, stimulating new acts, music performances, technology shows, original crafts people and more that can entice the imaginative and curious among us. .uk are doing just that!”
