Colon cancer is now more prevalent than ever, in people in their 20's, 30's and 40's.

Signs and symptoms you should never ignore are;
•Passing blood
•Unexplained and persistent abdominal pain

Some things we can do to reduce risk are;

So....Feeling hungry can feel goood???
Are you for real???
100% fo real!
...At least it can help you enjoy your food more.
How much do you really enjoy the constant grazing or super sized portions you eat?
When you feel hungry, you anticipate food, you enjoy the flavour, you feel full more quickly.

HOWEVER If you can’t by into this concept then I get it!!
You do have another option.

Using a prescription medication which reduces your hunger can be really benefical to stop strong urges to eat and stop you obseesing about food. This medication (originally used to treat Diabetes) will switch off your hunger and make you feel fuller when you eat.
This means that your mind is able to engage in other stuff rather than constantly being absorbed by ideas of food.

There’s so many opinions out there on social media mainly from slim beautiful sporty bouncy types telling us that healthy lifestyles are easy.
If you are naturally slim, beautiful, bouncy, sporty and positive or just have a small amount of weight to lose or a small weakness to address - then you will find these posts motivating helpful and inspirational.
If you don’t meet some of the above criteria, you may find these posts, annoying, patronising, other worldly or downright demotivating.

Losing weight and addressing ‘bad’ lifestyle habits is tough. We develop bad habits for a reason, for comfort, reassurance, albeit they tend to result in exactly the opposite, but often times are brains seem unable to see that far into to the future and simply buzz on the pleasure of the moment. So whatever your indulgence - food, alcohol, ci******es - all of the above you might find they are your go to when you’re happy, sad, lonely, the list goes on…

One of the hardest things about trying to lose weight is that you can become preoccupied with when your next meal is due and what you are ‘allowed’ to have. The same can be said for any kind of abstinence - stopping smoking, alcohol, gambling - whatever your poison, trying to moderate you behaviour inevitably means you focus on it more. I see so much across social media that you don’t need to feel hungry to lose weight.
Here’s my opinion for what it’s worth.
If you are in the BMI 28+ category the chances are you are eating too much food.
In order to lose weight you need to reduce the amount of food you are eating.
Your body (and mind)has got used to eating this much.
Reducing your daily intake will result in you feeling hungry.

The good news? Feeling hungry can feel good…at least it can help you enjoy your food more.

Easy weight loss – does that actually exist??
One of our top tips for helping you to manage your weight better is to get really honest with yourself. This in itself is no easy but it really is necessary.
Using an app like myfitnesspal to track your food & drink intake will give you real insight into where and how you might make some changes. Sometimes we just don't think about EVERYTHING we consume in a day, OR we underegg the portion size OR we kid ourselves that we have been more active and therefore needed higher calorific intake - in fact the list of lies we tell ourselves goes on and on. If we are serious about losing weight though then this approach will only make us miserable and demotivated. Get started by simply recording everything you eat and drink every day. Myfitnesspal already has an enormous database of foods nutritional content. Once you get to grips with what you are consuming you can make some choices on easy wins and go from there. Alternatively you can seek the help of someone who may be able to guide you into the best changes for you.
