Our Ortenburg and Nuremberg groups' final week were full of exciting activities, from trips to the local cities of Regensburg and Bamberg, to farewell parties with their host siblings. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the German Pupil Courses this year!

The German Pupil Courses have had a busy first few days in Ortenburg and Nuremberg! In Ortenburg, participants have been getting involved in school life, from assisting younger pupils in their English lessons, to learning how to cook traditional Bayerisch food 🥨 Meanwhile participants in Nuremberg have visited Rothsee as part of their "Wandertag" and made a start to their joint thematic project "Stadt im Wandel" with their German peers 🥾 We can't wait to see how they get on during the rest of their courses!

Did you know that primary schools can take part in our Host a Teacher from Germany Programme?

Engage pupils by bringing an authentic insight into German culture into the classroom by hosting a teacher for 1-3 weeks. Visits are arranged flexibly and are open to all UK primary schools – German does not have to be offered as part of curriculum to participate.

Registration closes 1 July to host in the autumn term.

Interested in enhancing international education in the classroom? Apply to attend our upcoming funded seminar that will bring together teachers from UK and Germany to develop intercultural activities for their pupils and establish new connections and links.

Throughout the seminar, you will be offered training and resources on developing cross curricular, bilateral activities and maintaining international links, whilst also engaging in professional dialogue during local school visits in Germany.
