The perfect balance of floral, sweet and spicy: our chamomile and fennel seed honey took many attempts before we settled on the ratio of dreams 💫✨

With a gooey, slightly-charred halloumi and a final douse of lemon, this dish really is a beauty.

Here we have our oyster mushroom skewer, with tamari, coriander seed and our Chinese cabbage, with preserved lime & cardamom. A delightful pair you’ll find on our Bubala Knows Best menu and Mezze set menus, and of course, our a la carte! 💚

Our Grapefruit ezme with tahini and pomegranate molasses is a favourite on our vegan menus at Soho ❤️

Our take on this traditional, Turkish mezze, features pomegranate molasses with spices and the more traditional chopped salad elements.

The creamy tahini brings it all together, with a rich contrast to the tang of the dressed tomatoes, onions and peppers ⚡️

As of Saturday 4th July we will be opening our doors once again. We will be taking as many precautions as necessary to ensure everyone in the restaurant is as safe as possible.

We opened for ONE brunch service pre-Covid and we think it’s really unfair that most of you didn’t get to sample our amazing Shakshuka recipe. Well that’s about to change...

As of right NOW you can order your Shakshuka brunch kit (Serves 2) which will include:

1x Bubala shakshuka sauce
4x Eggs
1x Bubala hummus
2x Laffa breads
Illustrated instructions

We are taking pre orders with a cut off on Wednesday at 10pm for delivery on Friday (just in time for your weekend brunch!)

The Shakshuka kit costs £20 plus delivery.

BUBALA COOK-ALONG on Zoom

This Thursday - 23rd April from 6pm-8pm Bubala will be hosting its first ever cook-along!

Head Chef Helen Graham will be putting together an amazing meal designed for 2 (individuals welcome - you’ll want it for lunch the next day too) and taking us through a menu to use up the veg in your delivery boxes.

Here is how it will work:

- all people interested comment on this post with their email address below 👇

- 8 email addresses will be picked at random tomorrow and notified. Each person who is notified gets one space on the zoom call (2 people max per space)

- You will receive ingredients list and recipes for the cookalong to go and buy/order for Thursday

- We all cook, drink and listen to aabrills sweet tones

Its a no brainer. See you on Thursday!

We are only a few weeks away from opening the doors to our new little Bubala. As of November 16th, the Bubala Dining Room will be open for large bookings (up to 24 people) for any event you may wish. Think birthdays, Christmas parties, private events. You name it, we can do it.

On Monday Bubala flung open its doors for the very first time for friends and family. It's been a hugely crazy and emotional ride, full of ups and downs. And just when you think you've got it all sorted, the coffee machine explodes all over the electrics 🙄 It's been real. Massive props to our incredible team who have (almost) got us through the first week. Soft launch finishes on the 10th with just a few more spots to book, before we are open proper on the 12th. BUBALA HAS A HOME!

After a year and a half of sell-out pop ups at venues such as Carousel, Berber & Q and Untitled Bar, we are moving into our first permanent site.

We are a vegetarian Middle Eastern concept with a focus on bright, punchy flavours designed to share. Behind Bubala is Marc Summers (Bubala founder and ex GM of Berber & Q) and Head Chef Helen Graham, who has worked at The Palomar, The Barbary, The Good Egg and Ottolenghi.

We will be opening a 30 seater restaurant on Commercial Street, East London in the middle of August and are looking for front of house staff who are looking to thrive in this industry, with the potential to grow with Bubala!

We aren’t necessarily looking for a lot of experience but instead a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
