This makes everything worth it! ❤️
It is with great sadness that we have to announce we will be leaving the Duke in January 2025
We have had 20 wonderful years here, but sadly our lease has come to an end, and the pub has been sold. It will remain a pub. Thankfully!
We had hoped for an extra couple of years, but it wasn’t to be.
So please pop in and see us before we go, our last Hurrah will be on the 24th January 25
It’ll be your last chance to see the pub as you know it, it will be refurbished and the Old Duke will be gone.
Thank you to everyone, our lovely Australians who worked for us all those years. Our wonderful customers who have supported us through thick and thin! We really are humbled by your loyalty.

Our Story
The Duke was built around 1791, making it one of the oldest buildings in Fitzrovia. Retaining much of its old decor and traditions to this day.
The Landlords, Debbi and Alan, have been publicans for over 30 years. With the Duke of York being the latest in a line of pubs they’ve proudly run. Instilling a homely, social atmosphere that has brought in incredible customers that make the place so special.
The pub has also been in the Guy Ritchie movie ‘Rock n’ Rolla’, and the television series ‘Strike Back’.
If your planning a party, we have a function room with bar upstairs! feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
