🐣Bobby & Mia🐣

It's official! Bobby and Mia (and their cute, crisp-eating cat, Oscar) have moved to Sweden to start a family and embark on an unbelievably exciting new chapter in their lives!

It's hard to sum up the impact they have had, not only on the bar, but on everyone involved in this project from the very beginning. What started as a joint hospitality venture between two couples has morphed into a very large community of people. Bobby and Mia's unwavering commitment to the standards they adopted from their illustrious bar careers gave us the building blocks to make Swift into the exceptional cocktail bar(s) it is today. However, we all know this. We've all had the Irish Coffee and the Sgroppino and will continue to enjoy them for years to come. What people don't see is the incredible community-building that happens behind the scenes, the endless warmth and hospitality shown to those of us who chose to join them in building this bar.

The Bobby and Mia who started Swift 8 years ago are not the same people they are now. One of their greatest achievements is creating a space for everyone to grow and develop at their own pace and into their own individual person, finding a balance between commercial success, maintaining those initial high standards, and allowing everyone involved to feel ownership and growth within the project as a whole.

Amid the numerous industry awards and accolades, there is Bobby showing up at our houses with a van to help us move or Mia with flowers and cake on your birthday. Making sure every employee received furlough over lockdown, even if this meant paying them outwith the government's eligibility scheme. They shared all the glamorous perks of the job most folks keep to themselves, whether that be trips overseas or the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas at industry events.

This is definitely see you later, and most definitely not goodbye! Bobby and Mia are so intrinsically linked to the very fabric of what Swift is, they will always be a part of every day here at the bar. For now, it is Stockholm's turn to enjoy their magic!

It was our lovely Rachel’s last shift at Swift yesterday.
Rachel was one of our longest members of our Swift team, joining us in September 2018! Since her time with us we have watched her grow into an incredibly talented and knowledgeable bartender and manager that is truly dedicated to the craft and her team.
She has been the powerhouse venue manager of Swift Borough for 2 years, and we couldn’t be more proud of her!
As sad as we are to see you go we’re so excited to see you take on your next adventure and we will always be here to serve you delicious drinks every time you step through our doors.
