Notice of Member Levy

Dear LCCU Member,

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty to London Community Credit Union. As a valued member, we appreciate the support and responsibility you give to LCCU to support the East London community.

In light of our financial performance reported at the AGM along with continued trading challenges, the Board of Directors and I have made the difficult decision to introduce a member levy for the second year in a row. This measure is essential to ensure that we can continue to work on the turnaround and recovery of LCCU after several years of poor financial performance. The levy will support ongoing changes that are being introduced as well as contributing towards meeting regulatory requirements and improving our capital position.

Levy Details

Following internal discussion, we have decided to apply a one-time levy equitably across different savings bands.

SaverPlus Balance Member Levy;

> £100 to £1,000 – £2.75
> £1,000 to £2,000 – £27.50
> £2,000 to £2,500 – £55.00
> £2,500 to £5,000 – £68.75
> £5,000 and over – £140.00

The Member Levy is calculated at between 2.75% and 2.8% of the SaverPlus balance lower boundary.

SaverPlus balances will be assessed on 6 September 2024 with the intention of transferring payments on the same day.

Online banking and automated telephone banking is available throughout the festive holiday. Payment transfer requests received out of hours will be processed the next working day.
