Today is the first class in our new Crouch End HQ….
We dreamed up this silly idea for an Indian cooking school 13 years ago and launched it from our kitchen table. Never dreamed it could take off as a real business but our amazing clients have made us believe otherwise. Covid nearly destroyed us but thanks to you all and your incredible support we are going strong. Watch this space!!!

We haven’t posted for a while as we’ve been distracted over the summer by exciting events we can finally share… The forthcoming launch of our new Spice Monkey HQ based in Crouch End, North London. An exciting new chapter for us- born out of the chaos of the pandemic which could have destroyed the business but instead gave us the confidence to just let it rip…
We want to keep the homely atmosphere of the OG Spice Monkey but in a more flexible and slightly larger space. Can’t wait to share it all with you soon… but in the meantime we have a bit of work to do!! Classes are still running from while we transform this space.
Celebrated summer solstice by harvesting our winter garlic. These beauties have been grown from a couple of french bulbs bought last summer. If you’re heading to France on hols, bring some back to plant in December!

Back doing a Collectaway special this week and with the cold nights drawing in our tamater paneer massala promises to be a proper winter warmer.
As summer turns to autumn it’s collectaway time at Spice Monkey HQ. This week we’ve gone for a theme based around Maharashtran cuisine and one of the stars on the menu is this deceptively simple green bean and peanut bhaji. The peanuts bring a sweet crunchiness to the dish - it’s a brilliant combination. Hope our customers like it as much as we do… 😍
