Happy Independence Day India!!

Many of you will no doubt have seen the announcement this week with the timeline of the upcoming party leadership election.

What this timeline means is that anybody who is a member of the Conservative Party before 19:00 tomorrow (Wednesday) is eligible to vote in the election of a new leader.

Therefore if you are not a member, or perhaps let your membership lapse without renewing, now is the perfect time to get involved.

Conservative Friends of India would like to thank all our members who make CFindia the dynamic and charismatic organisation it is.

We delivered a strong campaign over GE24 and we are proud of what we contributed in our target seats as well as what our members contributed throughout so many constituencies.

It is a difficult time for the Conservative family and our Patron, Rishi Sunak.

Rishi has been part of CFindia from the start of his journey to becoming a member of Parliament, starting with knocking on doors to support fellow candidates.

The CFindia family grew with Rishi’s success and stella leadership as our Party Leader and Prime Minister.

We convey out profound thanks for Rishi’s unstinting support and contribution to CFIndia. We have been grateful to him for his support for and of candidates and our events.

Rishi rarely missed our Conference Reception, attending over the years as an MP, Treasury Secretary, Chancellor, Party Leader and Prime Minister and each time was met with enthusiasm and warm affection by all our members.

Rishi has made history becoming the first British Asian Prime Minister and he has been a source of pride and a positive role model. He has inspired a generation and has shown that opportunity exists in our great nation to fulfil your potential and realise your dreams.

We wish Rishi, Akshata and their family all the best and our best wishes for the future.

It has been an honour and privileged to be part of the Conservative Friends of India at this time.

Good morning everybody.

It is a difficult morning with some good news in places.

In the meanwhile, we want to thank everybody sincerely for their hard work and support.

Although things have not turned out the way we would’ve hoped, we feel very proud of the role that CFindia has played and our members in constituencies all over.

We will meet soon, regroup, rebuild. We are part of of future and we hope you will join us enthusiastically in the endeavour
