Today's client has had an ongoing rat issues that has got progressively worse over the last year. Rats have been entering a ground floor flat and gnawing at a bar of soap in the bathroom and droppings were found on the floor and inside the bath, 2 flats on the upper floor can hear rats within the loft void. 3 different pest control companies have carried out treatments and the issue has never been completely resolved. an in-depth survey was carried out to the building, surrounding areas and the drains. Significant signs of rat activity were found within the drain with a large hole found in the wall of the man hole and a number of burrows located in the flower beds next to main drain by a neighbouring block. Know how and experience are key to finding the route cause of rat activity. if the main ingress points are not found and dealt with, then the issue will never go away.
