Raxo (pronounced Ra-sho) is pan fried fillet of pork which has been marinating for 24 hours in garlic, pepper and white wine. Accompanied of course with Galician Padron Peppers and home made crisps.

A Family Run Local Restaurant Celebrating 35 Years !
Our food and our family is at the heart of everything we do. Isabel Rios started selling food on this site in 1982, her Deli was the first food outlet of its kind at the time in the East End, turning the community and beyond onto new and exciting foods from Spain. Over time and along with her son Eduardo, this evolved into the restaurant we know today , linking her traditional ethos of brining home grown Galician produce and Eduardo’s passion for honest Spanish food served with exceptional quality and great hand picked wines.
The cornerstone of Laxeiro is our rich Galician roots bringing the authentic tastes of our north western Spanish Province. From our rural family farming communities, traditional fresh farmers markets and biodynamic wine makers sprawled across the lush green celtic rugged landscape and atlantic coastline. We have always taken great care sourcing the finest ingredients from our beautiful homeland Galicia.
Today Laxeiro prides itself with authenticity, serving our fantastic fresh seasonal cuisine that is central to our community. Isabel & Eduardo’s passion is for simple honest fresh ingredients. We also utilise our local knowledge and trusted relationships with the local East End family run butchers, fishmongers and fruit and veg suppliers in the search to give you great food and wine.
Laxeiro for us is our kitchen, dining room and home. We hope you feel equally at home with us and our great team.
