A pub, with secret meeting & dining rooms, a speakeasy cocktail club & a sun-blushed hidden garden. But that’s not all. What was that? You’ve found Heaven?
Unlike its name would suggest, The Somers Town Coffee House is less of a coffee spot and more of an old British boozer with a twist…
You’ll find this gem of a pub tucked away on Chalton Street, a stone’s throw from Euston station; think rugged wooden tables, comfy armchairs and a plethora of pints to pick from. Have yourself a good ol’ snoop around the bookcase in the back though and you might ju
Looking for the perfect space for your event? Our private dining rooms are hidden away above the pub and might be just what you’re looking for… 🧐
Choose from the Kitchen, Club, Garden or Boardroom- each with their own unique personality.
We still have some Christmas private dining spaces available, so why not make an enquiry today? We’d love to host you 🎄
We don’t want to bang on about it, but we do really think you need to come and try the roast.
Ingredients sourced from British fields, all cooked with a lot of love and in ‘proper’ sized portions (you’re not going to leave hungry).
Choose from topside of beef 🥩, pressed pork belly 🐷 or our vegan 🌱 mushroom & leek strudel.
All served with homemade Yorkshire puddings you could practically live in, lots of lovely veg and (of course) crispy roast potatoes and gravy.
Booking recommended- we make everything fresh, so once it’s gone, it’s gone!
It’s all in the details ✨
What makes a pub, a pub? Well, of course it’s the amazing people, a great drinks line up and (usually) good food.
But we believe it’s those little extras which make a pub special.
That’s why, everywhere you look at The Somerstown, you’ll see little details which make us unique.
From the hidden bookcase door, to the coat of arms, the books (including a well read miriam.margolyes autobiography), the plant pots (look out for the one with a smiley face) and the way we lay the tables.
We want you to discover something new on every visit.
Have you been in to see us recently? What’s your favorite thing about out pub?
It’s beginning to look a lot like 🎄🤶❄️
The Pumpkins are only just gone BUT it’s time to start thinking about those festive celebrations and getting your Christmas party plans sorted!
We’ve still got limited availability for festive dining and drinks parties on selected dates, so don’t leave it too late to celebrate with us!
You can expect the very best of British fields and shores from our menus, along with a wide selection of sparkling fizz, wines and beers to get you in the party mood.

Plus with WiFi throughout, we’re a lovely little spot to grab a pastry, a coffee and jump on that call you need to take (if we do say so ourselves)
Autumn means colourful, comforting dishes here at Somers Town. Just because the weather is getting colder, it doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice anything on flavour!

🥘Smoked haddock croquettes, Sparkenhoe red, salt & vinegar mayo
🥘Pressed ham hock, garden peas, hen’s egg, toast

Our lovely pub, full of character is tucked away behind and stations.
The pub has been part of London since the 1920’s, and before that it was a proper London Coffee House- where for a Penny you could buy a coffee and a paper and converse with the thinkers of the day.
The coffee might cost a bit more now, but you’re still welcome to peruse our books, pull up a chair and engage in some fine conversation.
Here comes the Oyster man with his delivery of fresh Oysters from our friends at Maldon Oyster Co.
“You should have seen the van this morning,” he said. “It was so full of Oysters you couldn’t see the floor!”
It’s not just about being able to give you the best British Oysters, for us (I mean, it’s a lot about that but bear with).
It’s also that we’re able to support businesses like Maldon Oysters, and Cornish Seaweed, and St Austell Bay Mussels and Orkney Scallops- and all the other amazing suppliers we work with.
And they in turn provide jobs for packers and pickers and fishers and drivers.
And on top of that, sometimes we get to have a lovely chat with one of these people about their Oyster deliveries that day.
How great is that?

Would you like to know a fact about cheese?
Of course you would.
DID YOU KNOW 🧀
The delicious cheese we grate onto our smoked Haddock croquettes is called ‘Sparkenhoe Red.’
Sparkenhoe, made by David and Jo Clarke, is England's only unpasteurised Red Leicester cheese. It's the first to be produced on Sparkenhoe Farm since 1875. The cheese is creamy and mellow, with a slightly flakey texture. The addition of natural annatto gives the cheese its deep orange-red colour.
We care about food so much that every single one of our suppliers- down to our grated cheese- is chosen for their passion, produce and commitment to sustainability.
Manager Tim says ‘it’s time for a pint.’
Wise words, Tim.
Take advantage of the cheeky sunshine and grab a table on our Terrace or our secret beer garden (out t’back).
Lovely.
