There is beauty in simplicity….

Who doesn’t love a birthday cake on such a grim day? Vanilla bean sponge with Lemon Curd buttercream, filled with passion fruit and lemon curd. 💕

Charm:

Backdrop:

Vanilla sponge layered with a vanilla apple compote and thick, fresh, vanilla custard. Covered in cinnamon Swiss meringue buttercream and topped with more custard and crumble.

Topper:

I also see cake. A biscoff naked cake. Vanilla sponge layered with biscoff spread, biscoff Swiss meringue buttercream and biscoff cookie crumbs. And of course, finished with biscoff drips. 🤤

I call this one slap dash. Slap on some meringue buttercream. Dash on some gold and glitter and voilà. 😍
