Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide toured the Norwegian Joint Headquarters to discuss deepening Norway-UK security collaboration.

Today at Kew Gardens, the Foreign Secretary spoke about putting the climate and nature crisis at the centre of all the Foreign Office does.

Kew’s research is already leading the effort to help protect the future of our planet. The drive to digitise over eight million plants and fungi specimens and make the collection freely available to all around the world will help tackle big global challenges, from climate change to sustainable agriculture.

The Foreign Secretary joined in, helping to digitise a specimen called Norantea guianensis from Guyana – the country his parents are from.
