We're really sorry to see our good friends at the Vault Festival take the painful and necessary decision to cancel this year’s festival due to the impossibility of proceeding safely - we know there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes to help all the artists, performers and companies involved.
In the meantime, if any one wants to start an informal chat about the possibility of using Stanley Arts as a potential platform for their work then don’t hesitate to contact us. We have a particular focus on q***r work and performances made by global majority artists, and we also have plenty of track record with family shows, stand-up comedy, cabaret and other late night events - but we're happy to hear from all artists!
Following our q***r artist call out, we're looking for female, non-binary and gender fluid artists with projects in mind for 2022✨
We would particularly love to hear from you if you're from Norwood, Croydon or South London more widely. If you're a female-led theatre company, a gender fluid music artist, or a non-binary dancer - we'd love to hear from you. We're open to all art forms and projects, but especially if you have a ready-made event in mind. Contact us today at [email protected]!💘
**Not long left to apply!**
We can't wait to hear from you!

REPOST FROM EM Williams
*****
You: I really want to support new work by artists not of the cis white male variety as most things are, but I always find out about these things too late or on the day and also, I'm just not sure whether I'll like it? Like, I'm not being funny but sometimes they're very expensive and I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, but I really wanna be connected to new exciting work, maybe with a musical element and something that will make me laugh...
EM: Go and see this. No, seriously. These are two of the most talented people I had the privilege of becoming friends with, and it's the first time they've been given a space to make work by and for themselves. You wanna support q***r & trans artists making work and changing up the industry? Here's your chance. Get your ticket ❤
20-24th October- 9pm evening show and matinees too so you can go before/after sh*t. What's not to love?
"Under the thunder of London’s trains, D and Cane quietly fume, as they stretch their strings and get ready - to play their biggest gig yet.
Come for the distorted chords, ancient myth and modern gender.
Stay for the story-yelling and all-night bender.
This show will not be written in poetry.
KICK IT!"

ROLE is Sean, 18, London Irish with Belfast parents, in his final year of school in London.
EVENT: Liars' League is an award winning live literature event where actors read new short stories by emerging authors.
Our next one-night performance is FOOLS & SAGES tomorrow, Tues 18 May, in front of a live (distanced) audience of approx 40-50.

COMPENSATION: Our usual thank you is to buy all our actors and writers dinner and/or drinks on the night of the event but we can pay the cash equivalent up to about £20 if this is better.
