I am SO Thankful and I am SO proud of You! Another school year with you all, living my dream. Handing out end of the year certificates always gets me all emotional!!

It was hard choosing these 10 photos, but luckily it’s limited to 10 or I would go on forever with beautiful memories from this year.
How amazing are you all?! I should have an end of the year exhibition, cos you have been working hard creating masterpieces. Maybe one day we’ll integrate that!

Forever thankful for all you wonderful families choosing to open your homes to me. I do not take this lightly, and I hope you know it’s with great LOVE that I create with your little ones. ❤️ It is my pure joy to share my passion for painting and creating with you.

🙌🏻 See you in September beautiful ones!

(Haven’t secured your slot yet? Please do when you get the chance, they will be limited to max 10 a week.)

What would you add to your enchanted forest with all the magic and tranquility?? I’d definitely have a waterfall in mine. 💎✨🫧.

Practicing fine motor skills does not have to mean dull tracing tasks on a paper at a desk. Learning and training hand to eye coordination, fine motor skills and let’s not forget concentration can be creative and fun!!

Whenever your child engages with creative fun in an inspiring environment with different materials, they practice SO many different parts crucial for their development. Without even being aware of it!

Soon you’ll see their tripod grip improving, their drawing becomes more refined, the cutting skills more precise and they are focusing - all learnt while having fun!It is so important how they are introduced to art and learning fine motor skills; how to paint, draw and write etc.

Why? Because it’s all new to them, and the early years is when they decide what they like / dislike.

While they play and create you can integrate so many subjects, math, science, geography, biology, history, literature, culture…. You name it!!

This is what I love about working with your little artists. I LOVE how their faces light up while creating! I love their individual thought processes and how their imagination sparks up telling all sorts of stories while painting and drawing!

This 2.5 year old artist created such a beautiful fantasy forest I had to share it!! But also remember, we always prioritise the process.

Especially with young ones! What did we learn? How was the experience? What thoughts came up and what problems did we solve?

Sometimes they create beautiful paintings of, say for example, colourful flowers - and then they decide to “water the flowers!!”. Meaning… blue paint blended in with the pink and green… and the painting turns into a lovely mix of colours. This is all part of the process!

Let them explore and have fun… this is how they learn. Not every painting will be a masterpiece - and that’s progress.

Keep it light and fun and you’ll be surprised how fast they get a hang of it all! 🙌🏻

Feel free to get in touch! Xx

PART 2
Three more tips to immediately improve your toddlers arty session (check previous post for first three):

4. Don’t over plan the session with too many instructions. Two-three year olds love and often even insist on doing things “By Myself!!”. Leave space for their creativity to flow! Step back a bit and let them find their way with the supplies you’ve provided.

5. Have surprise elements to keep them engaged. Glitter.. stickers.. little characters.. Textures like pompoms.. you name it!

6. Take note on when they are getting ready to finish. Guide them into another activity… maybe a snack after they washed their hands? For Sofia in the video, the signs are things like getting the giggles over the watercup falling.. starting to paint her elbows etc.. it’s still on the fun side, but I find that that’s a good time to go do something else! 🫣🙂 Another clear sign that it’s time to do something else is when they struggle to come back from frustration after they’ve made “a mistake”.

Part three coming up… 🙂 xx

PART 1.
Three tips to immediately improve an arty session with your toddler:

1. Set up your creation station! Prepare and think ahead.
Have everything you need ready in place before you bring your toddler over. Floor cover, non spill water cup, water wipes/tissue… apron / art friendly clothes, all of this might help to keep your peace of mind!🧘‍♀️ 🌈 ✨

2. If your toddler tends to enjoy mixing colours, only bring two of the three primary colours (red, blue or yellow). As you see in beginning of this video, we start with blue, pink and purple (primary colours red and blue +white). If we were to add yellow into the background blend, it would all turn brown.

3. When you paint cardboard, to keep colours bright and vibrant add white! The brown paper makes the colours dark.

Have fun! 🙂🙌🏻

I brought a thick book filled with mythical creatures to class and out of all the options… he chose the Phoenix! 🥲♥️

To those who don’t know, that is my baby boy’s name.

The bird of fire symbolises Transformation, Rebirth and Hope.

What ever you’re going through, the Phoenix is there to remind you that things can and will turn around for you.

Absolutely stunning painting!

It’s Friday, hence the glass is bigger than the bottle! 😌✌🏻 When abundance comes your way, it’s good to be prepared (riddle me that..).

This girl ☝🏻 Knows how to blend shades and colours!! So proud…

She took her time and completed it over two sessions, and no it wasn’t all smiles through it all. It was a process with moments of frustration, a.k.a. “Let’s put the brush down, close your eyes, and take a deep breathe”.

Well done for making mistakes and coming out of it with a smile and solution!! No mistakes - no lessons learnt. This is progress, and she was well proud of herself by the end of the day.

We even lost track of time… but dinner was still warm! 😌

I ♥️ painting with you guys!!

Coronation Day! 🇬🇧👑🥂

…and excellent ARTing 🫶🏻

“Well NOW it looks decent”, he said with a little grin, as he put the lid back on his black marker.

There was a time when he wasn’t too sure about this painting. He started of saying it will be his best yet, but somewhere a long the process it didn’t turn out exactly how he had pictured it.

I asked him to still finish it and he might like it at the end, as he can fix all the parts that he didn’t like.

He thought about the colours and which shades to use. He might have had a little help by Alexa to remember the complementary colours etc but that’s ok! He did a great job at mixing shades.

As he added the last finishing touches with a black marker his smile and excitement came back!

That really made this picture POP! Well done for not giving up, he worked three full hours to complete this wonderful art piece.

Proud of you Aggelos! 👏🏻

Did you make the moon for her? Did you help her with the blending? These are the type of questions I often get when the artists create wonderful artworks like this.

You know the answer right? No, I have not touched this canvas. She did it 💯 herself! Well done I love how it turned out! ♥️👏🏻

It is Wednesday Addams werwolf friend camping under the fullmoon.🌝 🏕

The elfs are getting ants in their pants…and we all know why right?!

They’ve waited all year and now the time has finally arrived: They are released to do pranks in all our houses from tomorrow!! 🙊 👀

This artist created a bauble for her elf Chippy. Love your little cabin painting as well ! Well done today! 👏🏻

Let the Christmas countdown begin!!! 😁🙊🎅🎄🕯👏🏻♥️

Photos from Imaginarium Artists's post 29/11/2022

Some go wild with the Christmas tree decorations, others keep it plain Scandinavian style like this artist.

Both has it’s charm, I’d say 😌🎄.

We painted side by side and this is the outcome. I wonder if it will be added to his collection on the Imaginarium wall…? (Last picture).

You can see on the brush strokes how freely he flows over the canvas, while asking me the trickiest algebra questions -…which leave me clueless!! 🙈🙂

As he finished the painting he took a deep breath and quietly announced “…I love painting….” ♥️

Did you hear the rumours of a fake Santa in London??

Some of my artists have shared this with me… Apparently he had a fake beard!!! They could tell from the side…

Next time before you share your secrets with Santa, make sure it’s the real one from Lapland.

Ho-ho-how well didn’t this artist do?? 🎅 ❄️

He is planning his imaginary art exhibition for his collection. I honestly can picture his paintings in a gallery! 🙂👌🏼

23/11/2022

He did this fully by himself.
Collage by 2 year old.

He chose to cut out that blue paper and stick it. Then he chose to use tape.

Then he added stamps and last he drew on it with markers.

This is contemporary art. Picture this 10 times bigger on a gallery wall.

Unfortunately I don’t get to keep the artists’ works to myself!! 👏🏻♥️

Photos from Imaginarium Artists's post 03/11/2022

“Remember the painting from my first session? It’s already up on my wall!” -she says while eagerly watching me line up the different brushes in front of her.

…and after an hour of full focus, here’s the outcome! Doesn’t it look like the trees are bending over the little sleeping fox to protect it? Or maybe give it shade from the sun shining in the background?

Just like today, it’s wonderful to see little artists completing their paintings with a glimpse of pride in their eyes.

Have you created space for art in your child’s weekly schedule yet? Using their imagination artistically will support their brain development from the early years.

It doesn’t require more than paper and a pen to get started.

Home is where the Art is! 🙏🏻♥️

PS: Well done to this artist 😊👏🏻 Looking forward to seeing your next creation! Xx
