Born of a teenage dream to make Nigerian food as readily available in the United Kingdom as other ethnic cuisines, we opened our doors on the 31st of May, 2018.

Our carefully curated menu offers something for everyone: fish, meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, spicy, mild, sweet, savory, traditional and not-so-traditional.

Executive Mamaput, Nky Iweka has drawn on her Anglo-Nigerian roots to create ‘Nigerian food with a twist’ as her oldest daughter describes it.

Are you in London and you are craving the original Nigerian Salad, with baked beans and all, Pitanga is your spot.
And if you have never had the Nigerian Salad the way we make it, you should. Here is a fun fact:

Nigerian salad is a colorful mix of fresh veggies, pasta, eggs, and even baked beans! It’s not your average salad—it’s packed with flavor, filling, and it’s a treat. Perfect as a side dish or a meal on its own. 😊

I hope you come around for lunch or dinner.

This weekend looks like the best time to try Coconut rice that’s actually coconut rice.😍
If like most of us your memory of coconut rice was ruined from eating very bland ones, come to Pitanga and have your faith restored.
Of course chicken is in the mix.😍 I hope you stop by for lunch or dinner.

Another day in October and another Black History Month Corporate Event. Wednesday’s catering was for Bridebook, the U.K.’s biggest wedding planning app.

Early start as they wanted the food for Noon:

- Chicken Jollof Rice
- Vegan “Chicken” Jollof
- Fried Plantain
- Moi Moi

Even though I almost cried when I decided to buy a Cambro Box last week, I’m very pleased with it. It really keeps the food piping hot.

Now if only I could find the Cambro Dolly that was here (brand new they cost almost £300!). Today, I borrowed one from the Security Guys two doors down. They use theirs for moving safes. Mind you, our Cambro looks like a lovely teal safe.

Nigerian Food with a Twist

I draw on my Anglo-Nigerian roots to create traditional and not-so-traditional dishes.

Open from 10 am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, we serve all-day breakfast and brunch until 5pm and lunch from 12; with ‘Daily Specials’ to supplement our core menu.

Join us in our lovely garden for a beer, some wine or a soft-drink and a nibble or two.
