Here's a quandary
Last week I went to see Charlie Jacoby at a gathering of like minded folk not too far from home it was nice to see so many people there for an evening of fun
While there i was described as the second most angry falconer and fieldsports enthusiast in the country well I know I have much displeasure with those utter dipsticks in government especially when it comes to their absolute bloody ignorance of our precious countryside and the down right sh*te tricks they have pulled in the past few years like favouring predators over our precious red Amber and green listed birds on this island we live on.
You see due to the actions of those in charge much of our flora and fauna is suffering but its NOT through the reasons they tell the public if you listen to the abysmal thing shown by BBC I think the call it countryfile but as far as I am concerned they spelt it wrong !!
Its down to the money grabbing ways of the rspb to name one such organisation ,this absolute shower of sh*te who at one time had Mark Avery as head of conservation are in the next 20 yrs this is just an estimate by myself about to consign the most majestic of Scotlands birds the Capercaillie to EXTINCTION
We have those in charge of our wild places and the birds and animals that live on them Natural England South of the border not able to look after our precious Curlew by doing pest control !!! That absolute shambles had to wait for the outcome of a study by the Game and wildlife Conservation Trust to produce the results of their study BEFORE they would get off their arses and do SOMETHING that every countryman and countrywoman has known for generations PEST CONTROL and they had to have a meeting at London wetlands center to decide to make it part of the bloody toolbox that place place is full of tools MOST OF THEM DUE FOR THE SKIP I know because I met the so called headman some years back my son at the time new more than that pillock and Peter was only 13 years old
It has taken in my eyes less than 25 years for this damage to be done we have flocks of jackdaws taking birds eggs on a massive scale but Tony Juniper head of Natural England says this doesn't happen we have hordes of magpie stripping hedgerows every spring and Carrion Crows everywhere this is just the start
Since that Packham bloke and his 2 friends got involved with their thing called wild injustice yes thats right injustice and the tricks and lies spread saying our gulls were dieing out all gulls are now protected no bu**er said a word when the estimated 250,000 of these non sea going sh*te hawks dropped on the forrest of Bowland moors stripping ground nesting birds young and eggs
And that is just the start of it yes I have my back up yes I am an awkward bu**er yes I ask that lot very awkward question if I didn't who would the one I remember not so far back was to the head licencing officer for Natural Resources Wales he told me they were petrified of packham and would do anything to make him happy well here's another question to you does that include kissing goodbye to the farmers of Wales in favour of trees all over the place that we know won't grow I bloody well hope not Gareth Wyn Jones

5 Please write your answers on a post card and pop them through the fence for me.
O and just one more thing .....Why are Spirit and myself doing your birds work for you while you pair seem to do nothing but sit in your van and eat sandwiches!!!!.

Now the girls have had their say we shall have ours , If you have pest bird issues on your site buildings the big name is not always the best idea!! Well its been a strange day to say the least
I was ssked a few weeks ago to take a couple of my birds to a local care home to show an old falconer who has been struck down by that horrible thing dementia unfortunately I couldn't get on the day they asked but today I had a spare couple of hours. It turned out this gentleman had worked directly for the sultan of Oman and also served in the RAF towards the end of WW2 to say an interesting life was an understatement!
When he walked out of the room into the garden and saw us waiting for him his eyes lit up with a fire such as I have never seen he suddenly stood bolt upright walked to a seat made his self comfortable and I passed him a glove without a murmur he pulled it on like a young man ready for a day in the field I placed the hawk on his fist I asked would you like to tie on sir he answered me in a wisper no lad my fingers cant do it anymore can you as I completed the knot he looped the tail through his fingers I stood with his daughter who had tears in her eyes she had not seen him like this in about 30 years he was whispering to her touching her bells it was like magic to watch.
I had to walk away for a moment I left my hawk in the hands of a past master who's eyes full of memories and thoughts and happy times just sat talking to my harris he asked what age I started in this madmans game as he called it he said there are better things to do but he can't remember what though good scotch he thought was one of them !
He told me of hot days in the desert and cold nights and tents full of falcons and hunting by horse !
He made me promise to go back soon and this I will do and as we left he was still smiling in his own world that disease is so cruel but at least as falconers we can bring back memories to the old boys and its well worth doing !!!!

Thats been a helluva day still on way home kick off at 0400 straight to my premiership contract for feral pigeon control then a nice drive to Exeter for small bird dispersal for lidl.
Currently in michaelwood services for dinner still a nice finish for Christmas
