Travel Retail CGI. Boston Duty-Free marked our first collaboration with Inspired &Co, leading to a successful project bid. The main design challenge of this project was the open nature of the space, which imposed several limitations on wall and ceiling features. From a CGI perspective, an open space presents challenges primarily in polycount and scene complexity. With no place to hide, we had to meticulously model all the airport context and details to ensure high fidelity to the project concept. Travel Retail. Building architecture plays a crucial role in travel retail design. Often, we are faced with the challenge of reverse engineering the space surrounding a duty-free store to visualize and animate it. Sometimes, we only have limited information like photos and dimensions for existing spaces, while other times we work with just a few renders for upcoming terminals. This lack of detailed information sparks creativity, allowing us to interpret and bring unique perspectives to our designs. Our inspiration comes from various sources such as movies, trends, context, and the essence of the location. This freedom enables us to explore unconventional looks and atmospheres, adding a touch of drama to our presentations. Belgrade Duty-free is a spacious walk-through store, showcasing an iconic Rakia Bar and several distinctive shop-in-shop concepts, such as the Mind. Body. Soul. Cafe and an Apple Store.
