If you are a seasonal customer ( you wax just before your summer holiday) then hot wax should be your first choice.

📢As a waxing expert, I am not a fan of using strip wax on my customer bikini area due to various reasons and here is a simple way to recognise strip wax...
it will always be aplied either a spatula and removed by applying a paper strip on top!!

💖Hot wax will be always applied with a spatula and removed by hand after couple of seconds.

What a great evening!!

This evening I’ve attend annual Awards Ceremony organized by BABTAC & Cibtac as a finalist for Waxing Therapist of the Year 2023.

I can’t believe that I won this award this award, still trying to process this!
This will be my 2nd year in a row winning this award and my 7th award won in the past 2 years!!

Is getting wax sanitary?

👉The answer is Yes!!!
However you must pay attention to the salon you choose.

🔥Make sure that the salon is clean and hygienic, you therapist always wear gloves and most importantly DON'T DOUBLE DIP!!

🔥To summarise this in few sentences: everything what is used on you is single use!!

⚠️Wax used in the hair removal procedure becomes contaminated the moment that touches your body, same thing with spatulas and if the wax is reused, cross contamination occurs, it can lead to bacterial infections such as staphylococcal, streptococcal and folliculitis and list goes on!

💕My advice is to do your research properly before you book you waxing appointment and make sure you choose a salon that has high hygiene standards.

How many days before the beach should I wax?

This would really depend if you are a regular waxer or seasonal waxing. ⏰️

If you are a regular client at list 24h before you flight .

If you are a seasonal client at list 2-3 days before your flight.
You want to give yourself at least a couple days: You need some time before you're sitting on the beach or in the water for your skin to heal.
❌️Getting waxed at your hotel's spa isn't the best idea because that skin will be might sensitive and you don't want to skip activities or cause yourself avoidable discomfort.

🔥Aditional to this depends where you are traveling but just as a general rule to remember ' salty water and freshly waxed skin" don't get along... is a big NO.

✅️If you want to be hair free for longer ideally would be to wax at list 2/3 times prior your holiday.

This way you can enjoy the results for longer without getting worried that the hair will start growing.

👉Due to increase intake of Vitamin D during the summer ,you might see that the hair tends to grow faster.

💕This is another reson why you should start preparing for your holiday in advance.

Waxing is more than removing hair. 😉

I love making people comftable and gain their trust while I am offering them a beauty treatments that is not necessarily known as being the most ' pain free' ☺️

When you have your first waxing session thoigj your head might go 100 things. 🔥

Let's be honest, except the fact waxing come with some discomfort from the pain, you are also asked by a stranger to take your clothes off.👇

But when you do something that you love , you go above and beyond your limits to make your customers feel comfortable and return.

Waxing is not just about hair removal, it's about feeling confident and beautiful.
..and confidence is what you feel after your first waxing waxing appointment.

For some customers, waxing first time but be quite scary, thinking might the worst experience of their life due to the pain associated with the pain, when in really is just a slight discomfort that last only couple of seconds .

As a experience waxing expert, I would say that choosing your salon with a huge care plays a important role in your experience
... and here are few questions I would ask:

-is your therapist qualified
-is she/he wearing gloves
-do they have No double dipping policy
-what about quality of the products
-is there any consultation performed before the treatment starts?

Those are only few questions that should help you take the right decision when looking for a new waxing salon.

How do you deal with waxing summer time?

1.Exfoliate and moisturise every few days
2. Avoid touching
3.Take it easy aka avoid exercising same day
4.Stay cool aka cold showers are recommended

Is time to get smoth and enjoy your results for longer but when hot weather is around you just have to pay attention to few things to avoid any reaction.

1.Exfoliation and moisturising is a general advice that every customer should follow, especially summer time because surely you don't want any hairs trapped under your skin ..and yes this could happened.
Lack of exfoliation will cause a increase of dead cells build up over you skin, action like a blanket of dead cells and stop the hair to grow normal which will lead to hair being trapped under the skin.

Regular exfoliation and moisturising will help dramatically reduce the chance of ingrown hairs or growth irritation, as well as keeping your skin smooth.

2. Avoid touching

You’ll want to avoid touching the waxed area for a day or two, to avoid developing pimples. That means minimizing certain activities that can cause abrasion during the time period.

3.Take it easy
Avoid working out or any other exercise that may cause you to excessively sweat for the first 2 days. You don’t want to do anything that could clog your pores and cause skin irritation. You’ll also want to avoid swimming, as the chemicals in pools could cause discomfort on your delicate skin.

4.Stay cool

Ok, ok, it may sound a little ironic since you’re getting waxed to enjoy the warm weather, but we recommend you avoid certain kinds of heat to help protect your sensitive post-wax skin. That means taking cooler showers and avoiding things like tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms and yes, sun exposure.

Now that you know what to expect, you just have to go ahead and schedule your next appointment.
