We weren’t able to attend the awards ceremony in person, so today this beautiful object was delivered to the office - thank you so much to & ! We were overwhelmed to be named the 2024 ‘Gamechanger’ & very moved by the kind words spoken about us at the ceremony (you can see the film on our YouTube channel).
“The RPS Gamechanger Award is specially presented by the RPS Board and Council to those who break boundaries in classical music, as the Philharmonic Society’s founders set out to do in 1813. The award this year goes to Sara Lee and the Irene Taylor Trust .
“The Gamechanger Award is supported by and presented by RPS Chairman John Gilhooly, who says: ‘Sara Lee has devoted her life to using music to help and empower those whose lives are impacted by the criminal justice system. The Irene Taylor Trust not only leads creative projects in prisons, it’s having a powerful presence in communities, using music to fortify people who have found themselves cast to the fringes of society. The Trust also engages those who have been released from prison, and young people who have experienced challenging circumstances in their lives, harnessing their creativity to help them find their path toward positive futures.’”
It’s performance day for our collaboration with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra supported by Arts Council England at HMP Styal! Sharing these beautiful songs created with mums for their children is always very special & the recordings will mean they can be cherished for years to come.

About last night… 💙💛 We’re feeling so incredibly proud of everyone from ITT and who made the showcase such a special occasion! It was a privilege to see our shining so brightly: showed her warrior spirit, ._ enchanted us with her self-described ‘sad girl’ energy, bared his soul - they were all phenomenal, individual, beautiful, inspirational… “songs from the soul” as one audience member put it. The sets from the Drake Music associate artists were awesome; sounded fantastic with the ITT band backing and had the audience in the palm of her hand; blew everyone away with her live looping & sampling and pristine vocals; there were glorious collaborations and moments to hear from the artists, with our amazing host guiding us through the evening. Superb work from our two BSL interpreters and captioner made it a truly accessible event.
HUGE thanks to the wonderful ITT musicians Charles Stuart, Rex Horan and Rob Willson, who accompanied the artists beautifully & allowed them to flourish - and to all the ‘behind the scenes’ crew at ITT & DM who make these projects & events possible (big it up for Jake & Kitya!) - and of course the brilliant staff .
The evening was the culmination of a two-year project with DM supported by , which allowed the two organisations to share practice and learn from one another, as well as supporting five alumni from our & programmes to develop as artists; we’re astonished by how far they’ve come and can’t wait to see what they all do next… 💙💛
We’re so excited for TONIGHT for our with ! We hope you’ll join us at or via the livestream👇
