There are more than 370 million indigenous people in some 90 countries, living in all regions of the world. The situation of indigenous people in many parts of the world is critical today. While they constitute 5% of the world’s population, they are 15% of the world’s poor.

A special service for children is held on the first Saturday of every month at St Mary Magdalene, Richmond Team Ministry.

Happy Easter!
There is no 10am Service at St Matthias tomorrow - Maundy Thursday. However, there is a Service at St Matthias tomorrow evening at 8pm when we will recall the great events of the night before Jesus's death including the washing of the feet of the discipes and the Last Supper.
Holy Week and Easter in the Richmond Team. We would love to walk the journey to the cross and beyond with you - will you come?
Our service for Palm Sunday tomorrow will start on The Terrace at 9.30am where service sheets and palm crosses will be handed out. We will then process to St Matthias for the rest of the service. We look forward to seeing you there.
St Matthias is hosting a Service for World Day of Prayer this Friday afternoon, 1st March at 2.30pm. This service is organised by groups of Christian women from a different country each year. This year, the group of Christian women are from Palestine.
Although the service is organised by women, the service is open to all.
There will be tea and cake after the service. Please do come and join us for this special service.

As well as it being the First Sunday of Lent, we are celebrating the Festival of St Matthias this Sunday, 18th February. The service will start an hour later at 10.30am. All are welcome to come and join us.
There is no 9.30am Service at St Matthias this coming Sunday, 26th November. There is a Richmond Team Service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Richmond at 10.30am. All are welcome.
Coming Sunday, the last of this liturgical year, we come together as a Team of churches at St Mary Magdalene. Together we give thanks for all that has been, all that is, for Christ our King and for each other. You are invited too!
Please note that the service time is 10.30am and not 9.30am!
There will be no 9.30am service at St Matthias nor 11am at St John the Divine, Richmond Team Ministry.

Our service tomorrow morning is starting half an hour earlier at 9 am. This will give people time to go down to the Remembrance Ceremony in Richmond Town Centre after our service.
On Sunday 5th November we will hold our Team All Souls’ Service at 6:30pm.
The Team Choir will sing Fauré’s Requiem and there will be a short address given by The Rev’d Dr Charlie Bell, SSM Assistant Curate at St John the Divine, Kennington.
All are welcome.

Richmond Soup Kitchen needs your help
Richmond Soup Kitchen will return this year for its third season, continuing to provide a warm meal and a friendly ear to some of the most vulnerable people in Richmond.
The outdoor takeaway service operates from St John the Divine, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5.00-6.00pm between 1st November and 25th April
Volunteers are needed to:
Bake, batch cook or make soup
Make basic food on the evening
Welcome guests
Collect supermarket shopping and donations
Write grant funding applications
Donate financially or fundraise
By the end of last season, the team was serving around 100 meals a week.

9th April EASTER DAY
5.30am at St Matthias. Dawn Liturgy with Vigil and lighting of the new fire, followed by first
Eucharist of Easter. Breakfast will be served after the service.
9.30am Sung Eucharist and blessing of the Easter Garden, followed by Easter egg hunt.
New at St Matthias this year - On Good Friday at 10am – Stations of the Cross at St Matthias. A service of reflection following the
way of the cross depicted in art, led by Anne. All welcome.
12 noon – 3pm A Team service for Good Friday at St Mary Magdalene.
Tomorrow everyone is invited to St. Matthias CofE Church, Richmond Team Ministry to take part in Exploring Easter.
The church will be open between 10am and 12 noon.
A morning exploring the events of Holy Week and Easter through craft, story and food.
