As you are probably aware this event is completely SOLD OUT.

In 2004 South London’s most famous nightclub closed its doors for the final time.
When the decision to shut down was made we lived in very different times. Sending a text was about as good as it got, there was no social media.
We were only given a couple of weeks notice to spread the word that the Club was closing forever.
For that reason, many people missed out on that famous farewell party.
20 years on we are ready to celebrate this anniversary with a party to end all parties!

A date that is etched into our memorys.

The last ever night of The Bon Bonne as we knew it at it’s original home of over 40 years in Herne Hill.

Pulling up outside in a cab, we could not get no where near the place. It was a roadblock, full of regulars trying to get in the venue for one last time!

We had no choice but to make our way apologetically to the front of the queue with our record boxes carried by random punters, all keen to get us in and get the night started!

We played the set of our lives that night. The cries of ‘one more, one more’ were ringing around the building come 1am.
I think we played about 10 last tunes with ‘End Of The Road’ by Boyz to Men being the very last played. Rather fitting if we say so ourselves!

By that point we had ran out of drink in every bar with staff going into the cellar trying to find anything that looked remotely alcoholic for us all to toast a fond farewell.

Vera, the lovely older lady from the cloak room came into the DJ booth and got a heros welcome from the crowd, as did Irish Chris and many of the regular staff.

The Owners, brothers Sam and Steve Lockett tried to hide their emotions but there was no denying they looked visably moved by what they had witnessed.

The end of an era… ❤️

We promise to keep the Bon Bonne vibe alive through our reunions.
