One of this week's jobs included installing a 65 inch Samsung QLED TV and remote HDMI unit so the SkyQ box can be hidden away.

We've also installed a set of in wall WiFi 6 access points to keep the internet speeds blistering throughout.

Oxford Street Office Phase 1 complete!! This office has some of the coolest artwork we've seen! A great privilege to be working for another international client!

We've got the data cabling, routing, firewall and WiFi to take care of, which will seamlessly manage both a 300 Mbps 5G and a 1Gbps fibre link to the building.

Most trips to Oxford Street are rarely without "the Westminster blessing" (➡️ to last pic) so am sure they'll be more of them in this fitout just based on where we are located!

We're using some special converters that change old school analogue wiring into a network connection to provide an almost equivalent to a fully digital system.

As you see the unit takes care of delivering power and data down the same cable.

We've been a little clever and notched out the bottom of the case and when doing so, all fits in without anyone realising what's really driving it 😉

Discreet HD Colour at night technology.

This week amongst other work we invited a client to a dedicated meeting at Lutron's experience centre in London.

Lutron has cemented their name in light and blind control. Clients and designers alike are always blown away with the sheer amount of choice in keypad finishes, button layout, blind materials and operating silence.

Lutron is also an excellent integration choice with our other offerings including Control4 and Sonos.

Bespoke and discreet technology installations are what we do.

Less is more, as we hide away technology keeping only on show what is absolutely needed. Even those items are custom sprayed to chosen RAL colour and use the most discreet (but effective) sensors available on the market.

We've also carefully matched the gunmetal and with a purpose cut alarm panic button cover, which also has a trim ring, again sprayed to match, to make a panic button that looks as much like a Face4 product as possible.

There's so much going on behind the scenes of this picture.

1. Lutron Lighting controls the ceiling spots and floor lamps to various levels.
2. A discreet Control4 unit behind the TV takes care of that, the SkyQ box, the PlayStation and Amazon stick.
3. Somfy blinds are automated into routines
4. The radiators are also integrated.

We love the projects with integration. They are the most challenging but also the most satisfying.

"All in the prep" as they say. The next phase of work coming at this four storey town house in Maida Vale, we have completely overhauled the rack space from what it was (swipe for before).

Getting all the cabling understood and tidy makes adding the next tranche of work (whole home WiFi smart intercom and gate integration) a whole lot easier.

We upgraded the old analogue cameras which by today's standards offer poor quality imagery. All been upgraded to the latest 4K Colour at night system with visual and audible deterrents.

As one of the cameras was not wired correctly originally we used a special adaptor to send two cameras down one cable and split out the other end.

We use these as a last resort if getting cables without show simply isn't possible.

This week we celebrate 5 years of working with Control4 to deliver some of the most exciting and engaging home technology projects for our clients.

Our customers will agree, the list of compatible products is almost endless and it's power is only limited by how far your imagination will reach.

That's the Northwood Pool House all wrapped up. We were initially here in 2020 to secure the main house.

Some tricky installation with oak beams, wavey tiles and angled cladding (➡️➡️➡️ for pics).

Almost 24 zones of protection, over two storeys including external and internal motion, shock, door and beam sensors.

We'll be back at the end of the week for customer handover. The lighting here is phenomenal I think it deserves its own post! Stay tuned!

Our project in Northwood involved discreet security in a two storey pool house surrounded in oak beams.

We've worked at length with the interior designers to select sensors in line with the desired finish.

For one sensor it was not possible to install anywhere other than the oak beams due to surrounding glass.

So we went the extra mile to vinyl wrap in Matt Oak finish! Looks far better than white!

Technology does not and should not need to be an eyesore.

Just a warehouse of a large global distributor 👀

We've added WiFi points at height in order to get the WiFi signals nicely over the vans that drive in and out.

The building is over 300m in circumference so fibre is essential as well as mains power and satellite backup.

The placement of the WiFi has proven key in order to ensure no loss of performance while "roaming" on the warehouse floor. Lost WiFi could mean lost orders!

Here's some beauty shots of an office block we've recently handed over in St. James Park.

22 cameras both internal and external along with almost a dozen doors with access control all wired up here.

The network will be remotely monitored and managed and is fully backed up by UPS, Elite Fibre, standard broadband (ADSL) and dual 4G and 5G connections too. 🤯

We upgraded this Media Room to the latest Marantz 4K, Dolby Atmos Surround Sound.

This is now our entry level amplifier of choice with up to 7 channels of 180W each. 2 subwoofers are possible and enough to keep any room pumping. You will find it hard to find better performance at this price.

This week we upgraded this Media Room to the power of Control4 and integrated the CCTV, Sky, Sonos, Freeview and Italian Satellite.

This room has some stunning features of fabric wallpaper along with KEF speakers which pump out the Surround Sound.

Some shots of this takeover in Central London where we were called to sort networking issues and loss of audio.

We've put in an internal router that takes care of all the Control4 and all backed up to the cloud with remote management.

Additionally we added audio extraction from the PlayStation so that the kids can now enjoy games in surround sound. All in before Christmas!

Addition of a Control4 intercom this week following a takeover of this property.

Some intensive work to chop out that box without damaging the cabling.

The usual refinements of integration has been completed including recording the intercom into CCTV and all available through the touch screens too.

A stunning 5 bed flat in a converted mansion house had some upgrades this week....

While there is a proper alarm keypad out of sight in a cupboard, we've added a Control4 touch screen in the proposed position for an additional alarm keypad.

Here we maintain the décor and provide control for heating, lighting, blinds and alarm system in the entrance hall.

As you see in the final picture, the previous install (who the customer did not invite back) had to be redone as it's plain to see, was never really finished.. the whole panel had to be redone!

These hard-wired slimline units are a great replacement for other wireless doorbells on the market.

Behind the scenes the entire porch soffit and front door trim was taken off to find a cable route. Hard work but worth it.

We've added a cloud managed unified WiFi solution that allows staff to roam across the office without connecting and disconnecting from multiple WiFi networks.

Some wiring issues were also remedied which from experience contribute to patchy performance - we'll have proactive monitoring setup up to watch.

Although not many cables, if you look closely we've used their logo colours 😎

Active on site in Northwood this week.

Some progress shots of this insane pool house, in the side garden of the main property. Alone, this is 10,000 square feet.

There are oak beams everywhere 😍 but this also creates a challenge on how to get wiring everywhere without destroying them and for the technology to be as subtle as possible.

We will be deploying external sensors to protect the perimeter alongside internal sensors. This creates another challenge as there's loads of glass going in almost everywhere.

The largest smart home patch panel we've ever installed. In fact, there are three panels across this mega site.

Here we will distribute all the required services for speakers, video, data, WiFi, motion sensors for lights, CCTV, and alarm.
