T-Jet P**n..

It’s been a while since we pulled this engine apart, however we have been working hard on trying to develop a cylinder head and get this to car to were it deserves to be after a very poor build.

The first company we worked with on the cylinder head was a major let down, which I won’t go into..

Now working with somebody we trust, with some real data we are sure that the end result of this one will be a good one 😎

Today me n the lil black pram pulled it right out of the bag, pretty much leading all day then was pipped on run 5 by Marcin by 0.15 of a second 🙃

And that looked like the end of it as there had been quite a few stoppages, they then decided we were going to get our last run !

Lined back up in 30+ degrees heat 😅 and this was the last shot (or was it…) I sets off like a lunatic with a great start into the chicanes then first sharp right and all of a sudden I’m facing a focus head on 🤦🏼‍♂️

Wasn’t sure if I would get an impeded run but when back round fit what was my final shot !

Bursting for a nervous wee I was contemplating wetting myself 😂😂

Only went and did it 👌🏽

Great start to the weekend for Team Cams Racing in there ADEdmundson tuned Subarus in the 4wd Class

Taking 1st , 2nd and 4th in a 23 car field !

In this week Conor J Gillan Abarth 595 for a few mods.

He recently had one of our ADE300+ Turbos fitted but wanted more 😁

So the only thing left was to fit some Cat Cams + Springs / retainers and some more custom tuning.

Low Boost 250bhp
Medium Boost 295bhp
High Boost 328bhp
Along with a 7500rpm limit 😎

All this on a stock engine 👊🏽👌🏽

In last week for some tuning something a little different…

Ross Marshalls (won’t let me tag you..) Abarth T-Jet powered Fiat Seicento, running a aftermarket Maxx Ecu 😎

After 3 Different tuners, 4 engines, a few clutches he decided to get it done properly 😜

Initial runs were showing lean Afrs and a very laggy car.

Pre load set correctly and a few days later a car that he can actually drive now without fear of it blowing up and With almost 1000rpm spool increase!

We did have a few niggles which still need addressing but over all 💯 better, so much so Ross was contemplating selling it 😕 but now is having second thoughts 👌🏽

The Clutch did hold us back from making a bit more so had to gently bring the boost in on the high setting but this is one rapid little car !

AS CAME LOW BOOST = 189bhp
ADE LOW BOOST = 210bhp

AS CAME HIGH BOOST = 211bhp
ADE HIGH BOOST = 260bhp

Nice clean 2017 Abarth for sale we have just built

18k miles / 2018 Comp Engine, Clutch and Garret, Decat + Mapped, 200bhp

Totally Stock 2021 Comp 180 MTA Convertible in for some custom tuning, not massive gains on these, despite others claiming allsorts of numbers and claiming they make over 200bhp stock 😂😂😂

On these it’s More about the torque / drivability

Genuine numbers / real results on a loaded and a fully calibrated dyno 👊🏽

And for those who can’t read a dyno graph
As Came = 188bhp / 186ftlb (2 Blue lines)
ADE = 201bhp / 223ftlb (2 Red lines)

**Just to add to this with people claiming that a mapped garret can make 260ftlb, this is the BS I’m talking about.. Factory figures for these are 184ftlb (it made 186ftlb on our dyno) I think I’d rather believe factory numbers

You genuinely think that increasing an already quite tuned small turbo will add 80ftlb of torque 😂. Honestly I give up 🤦🏼‍♂️**

We are having a few little issues with the 4wd part of the dyno atm in turn this has set us back quite a number of days in an already very busy schedule.

We have also just had it all calibrated to ensure optimum and accurate readings.

Well what a few weeks it’s been !

As you all know we dropped a valve @ Mallory, destroying our built motor, and with only a week to go to round 3 Javelin Sprintdays the odds were against us 😅

Engine out Tuesday, goodies like turbo manifold cams etc stripped off it, the new one built back up, in and running Wednesday, dyno and mapped Thursday !

We Had to cap the boost and rpm but we made it… Practice out the way first timed run I got into an absolute tank slapper and thought this was it, managed to control it and got it back to the pits unscathed. A naughty Yaris had spilt Oil all over the track and I’d gone right through it 🤦🏼‍♂️ next few runs I was on edge and just couldn’t get to drips with it, I was scared of spinning out, I was missing the boost, the extra revs and felt a bit sorry for myself sitting in 4th place.

Runs were cut short as there were quite a few stoppages so last run I decided to have word with myself and grow some balls 😁 boom 💥 into second place with a 1.38.93

Another second place trophy and getting closer to my rival and finishing 27th Overall in a 67 car field.

All this wouldn’t have been possible without my right hand man James Beanland who has put some serious graft in to get the car ready 💪🏽😎

Well we went out with a bang 💥 literally 😂

Had a awesome day at the abarth festival yesterday, big thanks to

All the ADE tuned cars ran faultlessly all day, apart from mine which suffered a fairly heavy failure right at the end 🥲 I think it’s possible that we have dropped a valve (seems like the stock valves didn’t like me downshifting into 1st at the hairpin 🤣) but Not fully sure what’s happened until will strip it down this week.

However, this it’s motorsport and we are pushing this tiny little engine as far as it will go in the aid of research and development and we will come back bigger and stronger 💪🏽🤙🏽

I think performance wise we 🤫 a lot of talkers as nothing came close to us on track 😜😎

So Back to it today as we are back racing at the weekend !! 😅😅😅
