CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 WE DID IT AGAIN 🎉
100% PASS RATE IN OUR BBODANCE BALLET EXAMS 2024
With over 60 pupils taking part in this years exam session- from our youngest Pre-Primary students up to our seniors taking their vocational Intermediate exams- amazing results this year once again. I am very proud!
Exam certificates reports and badges will be presented in September.
😃Don’t forget we still have some spaces remaining for our junior dance day THIS SATURDAY 27th JULY 11:30-1:00pm ages 6-11 years welcome. Come along for some dancing fun! Message through to reserve a space.

🎉 Ballet exams 2024 done and dusted!!! 🎉
It’s been a pretty busy two long days but we did it… over 60 exam candidates, at least 45 pairs of ribbons tied & at last count 5 million hair clips pinned into place!!!
Super duper congratulations to each and everyone of you for your hard work and dedication all year. I am very proud 🥲
I struggled to see over my steering wheel on the way home due to the amount of gifts, flowers, cards and goodies surrounding me .
Thank you for your generosity and kind words😌
A huge thank you to Lynne for helping set up, help with hair , sewing ribbon, making tea and being a cheer leader for each dancer 💗
… and let’s not forget the nimble fingered music maestro Lawrence for sitting hidden in the dance studio playing over 14 hours of ballet music!!! Only a daddy would do that for his daughter 💗

The Lynsey Allen School of Ballet specialises in classical ballet however we also offer classes in contemporary/modern dance.
This is my favourite song performed by (one of) my most favourite humans - Aobh.
Aobh was born to be on the stage. Aobh has wonderful classical technique and because of this she is able to perform many other dance styles with supreme mastery .

Grace is a true ballerina through and through. Grace is blessed with an ability most dancers would envy- Making ballet look effortless! It takes hours of lessons and dedication to achieve Graces standard of dancing. Well done

With lots of our senior students in the middle of very important (&stressful) school exams this time of year can feel overwhelming for our young adults.
Dance has been shown to improve memory, concentration, and focus. It also helps to develop problem-solving skills as children work on figuring out the steps and movements. Moreover, dance provides a creative outlet that allows our young people to express themselves even during stressful situations. 👩🏼🎓

Chloe is performing the Adage exercise from exam syllabus and is due to take her grade 4 ballet exam in June.
Chloe is 13 years old and has been dancing with our school from she was tiny!
Chloe is one of the most dedicated, consistent, reliable dancers within the school. I am so proud of your work Chloe .

HEY 👋 Let’s talk dance exams!
We are coming up to our final few weeks of the school year. For those students taking ballet exams these final lessons are the MOST important.
This is when I focus in on each dancer giving those individual detailed corrections, hone in on the light and shade of each move, push for artistry and try to find the right balance between building confidence and helping my students fight for perfection.
It’s not easy - but it’s always worth it!
HEY 👋 Lets talk home practice!
❓Would you send your young person in for a spelling test without ensuring they had revised?
❓Would you pay to send your young person to piano lessons without ensuing they touched the piano keys at least once a week?
✅ It is absolutely the same for ballet!
Ensuring that your daughter has practiced at home helps her to feel confident in the dance studio and therefore able to dance her absolute best!
When a young person has practiced and knows their exam work off by heart - this enables them to ENJOY their class whilst having brain space to perfect the more technical directions I am giving.
✅Not every child is suited to exam work.
✅Not every child has time to practice at home or just prefers to dance for ‘fun’.
Exams are not compulsory in my studio however it is a fantastic basis for all to work towards ensuring they progress -regardless if they take an exam or not.
😵💫As a business owner and mum of 4 children I know all too well that life is very busy and it can be hard to fit it all in at times…that’s okay!
Let’s make these final few lessons of term worth it for our daughters. 😊

So proud of our dancers competing in Newry and Portadown dance festival over this past few weeks.
Starting out fresh after a 4 year break from competition work was a little daunting to say the least but we have loved every second making lots of memories with our dance friends along the way.
Thank you to all my gorgeous girls for trusting my ideas..I am excited for our future as a team and I know we will only thrive from here on 😘 thank you to parents for your support and lots of love to Lynne for your unwavering support in ALL areas🙌🏻

Me and the Boss modelling our brand new bespoke school tracksuits this evening at dance. Penny and I have had ours for 4 years 🫣 but the quality is so fantastic that they are like brand new, even after a million washes!
We are so excited to finally get these into production for rest of the school!

WE DID IT AGAIN!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ballet exam results are in and boy what amazing results! Not only did every single candidate pass but 98% of pupils improved their score from last year! Special congratulations to our Primary candidates who all passed with either a distinction or a distinction* ….congratulations to all of our grade 3s who also all passed with high distinctions!
It can be harder to maintain excellent results the higher through the grades you work however our higher grade pupils have not disappointed with some outstanding results! 😃

I really really hope parents, family,friends and dancers all enjoyed our End of Year performance. I am so proud of each and every performer last night and I was blown away by the professional manner in which the dancers conducted themselves both on stage and in our backstage area.

A huge thank you from mum/dad and I for the masses of card ,gifts and flowers !!! I am literally going to spend my summer enjoying my gift vouchers ,eating sweets and watering my flowers 😁 total bliss!!!!
We were absolutely blown away by the amount of orders made for extra photos and almost sold 100% of the photos printed…but then again they were absolutely stunning!
I didn’t get to speak to many people but those I did had such encouraging comments to make about the show. It’s really hard to gauge side of stage how the evening is going… so I really really appreciate all the meaningful comments and messages from parents.
I hope you all enjoy your medals.
