A to B Group

The A to B Group is a successful and expanding local transport business based in Luton.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic PCV/Coach drivers to drive our new modern fleet of vehicles, working as a valued and crucial member of our team the following will be required from you:

* Current PCV licence with a minimum of 1 years experience
* Current CPC Drivers Card
* Current Drivers Digi Card

Our work consists of various client requirements including private hire work, tour work, school contract work, emergency replacement services.

Due to some of our work involving vulnerable children and adults, successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed.

Applicants should be confident driving different routes and vehicles, posses a positive work ethic and want to work as part of a team.

You will be responsible for keeping the vehicle you drive clean and tidy, uniform is provided to successful applicants and drivers will be expected to attend work clean and presentable.

We have the following shift patterns available:

Full Time Shifts (Monday-Friday + 1 weekend day per month) 15.00 p/hour (16.00 on weekend)

Part Time Shifts (including weekend)

4 on 4 off (including weekends) 1

School Driver (AM/PM) - 75 per day (average 5hours per day)

24 hour operation various shift patterns available

* 0300-1000 (bonus available annually for unsociable hours)

* 1400-2359 (bonus available annually for unsociable hours)

* 2200-0700 (bonus available annually for unsociable hours)

* 0700-1700 (+ overtime either end when required)

This is a great opportunity to join one of Bedfordshire’s leading transport providers, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team here at the A to B Group in Luton, working alongside our workshop team on a full time, permanent basis.

As one of our Workshop Assistant's you will help ensure the smooth running of the workshop and providing support to our Workshop Manager where required.
Your main responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the workshop manager in completing administrative work they may require of you.
- Booking of maintenance jobs into Vehicle Maintenance System.
- Ensuring all job pack have correct paperwork allocated prior to being submitted to TM
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Stocktaking

Skills and Experience:

Ideally you will have engineering experience and we will consider anyone from backgrounds such as: Automotive, Agricultural, REME, Construction Equipment, PSV, HGV, LGV or Plant.

We are also open to welcoming applicants without engineering experience if you are:
- Technically minded
- Enthusiastic
- Willing to get stuck in
- strong IT skills.
- an organised and logical person who takes pride in delivering consistent high-quality work.
You need strong communication skills and a professional, helpful attitude.-

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the sudden passing of our long time employee Steve also known as Flower 🌸 or known to some as Topoff 🎩

This has come as a shock to all and he will be sorely missed within the A to B family.

Our condolences go out to Steves family and close friends at this very sad time.
