It's been a lovely day of seeing repeat foot patients and meeting new. Have a great weekend all!!
Making feet and nails more comfortable for my patients is a great feeling.
Hi all, I'm back from holiday and taking appointments!
Apologies if you have been unable to get hold of me, technology let me down with my personalised voicemail. It's all back up and running again now.
These poor feet spend alot of time in big sweaty work boots. It wasn't just the nails that needed care but also the skin due to fungal issues.
,
This patient found managing their nails became increasingly difficult to the point of them cutting their skin. They are now receiving regular foot and nail care from and will no longer have to worry about scrubbing blood out of the carpet!!
Luckily there was no lasting damage!
Corns are caused from repeated friction and pressure. Although this was not painful for the patient it had the potential of becoming worse if left.
This patients toes were at risk of having trauma caused when cutting the nails due to having tufts of skin under them
I hope you have all had a nice Easter! 🐇
I have appointments available for next week x
This pesky corn has caused nothing but problems and pain for this lovely patient. It was great to get to the 'root' of the problem to give them a bit of relief!!
My lovely patients, before and after photographs. Nails hadn't been cut since last year.
New leaflets have arrived!! ❤ Let me know of you would like any to pass onto family and friend's
This poor patient has been suffering with a very painful corn surrounded by thick callus. Its had a huge impact on their life, feeling like having a sharp, painful stone continually embedding in their foot. They've had immediate relief after their first appointment and treatment from Carly@morrisonfootcare along with long term recommendations
These cracked heels, have made walking painful, even ripping through socks from friction! Here are before and after shots from the first treatment. Now to get them hydrated with a urea based cream to encourage softening and keep the dryness at bay
Equipment cleaning ready for next week!
Happy mothers day to all the wonderful mums out there. From Carly at Morrison foot care x

I have met some wonderful people this week who required some much needed foot and nail TLC. If you would like an appointment, I have availability next week.
Have a good weekend all!
A build up of thick dry skin on your foot is likely to be a callus. This is the skins defensive response to pressure or friction. It is not normally painful, unless the area is continually subjected to pressure and the thickness worsens.
Sometimes callus can conceal a corn which is painful and can feel like you are walking on a small stone.
If you find yourself suffering with these problems Morrison Foot Care can help by offering treatments and guidance on the long term management of them.
Verrucae are warts to the feet caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). They can be uncomfortable and affect the way we walk and are sometimes confused with corns but the treatment of these is very different.
Verrucae normally present as small cauliflower like lesions that may spread into clusters to the sole of the foot with the presents of very small black dots. Verrucae are harmless but can develop callus around and over the top of them.
For this patient, they were not aware they had a verruca but with a thorough assessment and their treatment goals discussed, a plan has been started to bid it farewell!
Foot and Nail Care costs:
First initial appointment: £35 which includes a full neurovascular assessment of your feet, treatment and advice.
Follow up appointments: £28
Neurovascular assessments will be repeated at differing frequencies based on individual risk levels
This patient was finding it increasingly difficult to safely keep on top of their foot and nail care due to poor eyesight. Their treatment today has made a huge difference to the discomfort they were experiencing!
What to expect at your first appointment:
At the first initial visit I will take a full history from you and undertake a neurovascular assessment prior to assessing and treating your feet.
The neurovascular assessment examines the blood flow and nerve supply to your feet. Allowing me to detect any issues within the arteries or symptoms of neuropathy. If any concerns are raised this will be monitored regularly and referrals made to your GP as appropriate.
An assessment of your feet and toes will follow to identify problematic areas of a concern to you so treatment can be tailored to your needs.
