. . almost there! The new ensuite is *so* close to being finished, and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turning out. The lighting is officially in and it’s truly making the space shine . . . literally!! From choosing the fixtures to seeing it all come together, it’s been a dream transformation and I still can’t believe that it’s all mine 😆 Can’t wait to add the final touches and finally use the rainfall shower . . . mastic man is imminent 🤩

. . from then to now, and we’re so close to the finish line!! 😆 This project has been a long time in the making! With young kids and a business to run, finding time for home renovations is rare . . . but at last, we’re almost done with our ensuite! I’m already in love with the serene, peaceful atmosphere we’ve created. Can’t wait to share more as we add the final touches 🤩

. . We’re diving into the entrance hall this week at our New Forest coastal development! 🏡 So inspired by this staircase design from —it’s the perfect muse for our reimagined entryway.

Our new grand platform staircase is going to be the star of the show, adding a touch of sophistication with the gorgeous herringbone stair runner that will tie everything together beautifully. And how stunning is the chequerboard Di Scacchi Tumbled Marble flooring from ? Absolutely loving the timeless elegance it will bring to the space. 🤩

. . our new build in Lymington is really coming along! It was fantastic to visit site this week and witness all the incredible progress. I can’t wait to see this space transformed into the heart of the home, the light in here will be amazing! 🤩

. . at our picket post renovation project!! 🤩 So many different areas to design, on totally different elevations with completely different functions, yet they all have to blend seamlessly and work as one! Here we see all the main functionalities of the external living spaces . . . from the alfresco dining terrace under the bespoke pergola, with sunken lounge and sit-up kitchen counter . . . to the covered wrap around walkway giving sheltered access to the entrance porch and outdoor spa zone . . . with wooden hot tub, outdoor shower, sauna and bespoke Yakisugi clad gym . . . with panoramic views out to forest beyond!!! Jeez…..I’m exhausted just writing this 😮‍💨😂

. . to my favourite restaurant design project where it’s always spring!! With all this rain . . . will it ever end 🤷‍♀️ . . . it feels like spring is still hanging on outside and the blossoms are here to stay! But summer will be here soon and they will fade, but it will always be spring here . . . dining under the canopy of the blossom trees! 🌸

. . whoop whoop!! We have retained our 100% success rate and gained another planning approval 🤩 This time for our chalet bungalow extension and external makeover in Pennington! Our client jovially refers to their house as an angry bird . . . thanks to its not so attractive front elevation . . . Suffice to say I think the angry bird tendencies are well and truly gone 😂 Can’t wait to get this one moving on site!

. . back to it after a glorious sunny weekend and it’s got me well and truly in the mood for designing some beautiful outdoor living spaces!! Absolutely love the symmetry of this stunning alfresco living room, perfect inspiration for my newest reconfiguration project where a seamless flow between inside and outside is paramount to my client!!

Creating this seamless and fluid transition is essential in all of my projects, allowing for a harmonious connection with nature and an expanded sense of living space. It promotes relaxation and fosters a sense of well-being by allowing natural light, fresh air, and greenery to permeate the living environment, enriching daily life and the functionality of the home.

. . something rather beautiful about seeing the bones of a house exposed like this!! Absolutely love this space….now that my wobbly legs allowed me to venture up here….it’s amazing what a difference a floor has made to my fear of heights!! 😂

. . our expansive reconfiguration project in the heart of the New Forest National Park is still in the design development stage, but already I can see how the changes we are making will shape this uninspiring house into a beautiful tailored home. The power of alterations in finishes is truly remarkable, thoroughly transforming the appearance and ambiance of a property without the need for extensive structural changes or expansions, completely elevating its aesthetic and the emotional impact it evokes.

Fantastic site visit at our Lymington new build today! Excited about the anticipated views and natural light streaming through the house (minus the portaloo 🤣) and the corner window seat is already a firm favorite! Providing an incredible perspective of the future home hub . . . an airy, open-plan living space connected seamlessly to the kitchen diner by a stunning feature tunnel fireplace.

Behind-the-scenes at our Bournemouth bar project and it’s all systems go!! Walls have been stripped back to bare plaster, showcasing the exquisite moulded ceilings and revealing the raw beauty of this Grade II listed space!! And we can now fully admire the stunning original William Morris tiles adorning the fireplace! 😍 The transformation is underway and I can’t wait to see this project come to life!

_ n e w p r o j e c t . . .

Little sneaky peak of my latest resi project as the designs are starting to unfold!! This carport and garden office are fully bespoke and tailor made to ensure they function in as many ways as possible. From carport to shed, bin store, log store, bike store and car charging point to office and study, all the while making its own renewable energy with its hidden solar panelled roof.

This carport and garden office design is just a small snippet of what is yet to come, next up is the outdoor spa and gym zone!

. . when you log into work and find your client has saved a few new images to their Pinterest board and this absolute beauty is one of them!! 🤩 Guessing that I am now including an outdoor sauna in the spa zone!? 😍 The perfect accoutrement to the wooden hot tub and outdoor shower!!

This year has been an absolute whirlwind!! I made myself a promise last new year that I would be more present on social media and do everything I could to expand my business . . . to end the constant cycle of freelance work!! So one out of two ain’t bad right!? 😂

2023 has seen my business grow and grow, with new clients and old helping me achieve my dream . . . A successful design company, working on my own projects and seeing them come to life under my own company umbrella!!
. . 3 planning applications granted, 1 frustratingly slow listed building approval, 1 huge new build home hitting site (with my first advertising board displayed 😆) and many new and exciting architectural and interior projects underway for 2024 . . . and I somehow managed all this whilst turning 40 😱 and raising two tiny wild-ones!! Here’s to an even better 2024 and keeping resolutions!!!

Who doesn’t love a before and after!? 🤷‍♀️ Finally got round to taking some photos of this little utility room in Lymington! This is one of my favourite transformations! A bespoke design around the needs and wants of the lady of the house, from laundry basket storage to organised shelving with a special spot for the Nespresso, all the while looking beautiful…if I do say so myself!! 🤩

Sometimes it only takes one image to spark your imagination…..and for me, it was this one image that stuck with me for 5 years whilst reimagining my cloakroom! The sheer scale of this painting just makes the entire room stand to attention!! I can’t actually believe that my cloakroom is almost finished and my huge scale painting is up!! 🤩 Can’t wait to share it with you….just need the mirror to arrive! 🙈

Planning permission received for one of my more recent smaller extension projects!! My clients have a very big kitchen but the layout was just wasting so much space!! So with a small side and rear extension, they will now have a flawlessly functional and beautiful open plan kitchen dining space, and a perfectly proportioned utility room and hideaway office desk area!

It’s the little design details that will make this space such a pleasure to inhabit! From the small tropical planted courtyard view from the kitchen and dining spaces, to the light and airy open plan nature with the necessities hidden away from view! For me it’s all about the flow and functionality of a home, without this it doesn’t matter what it looks like if it doesn’t work!

Not only is this my first major new build project, it’s also one very dear to my heart as my clients are close friends! Helen Clegg 🥰 So I am super excited to be able to share this news……We finally have planning approval for this beautiful 4 bedroom family home! 🥳🥳🥳 It’s been a long time coming with delays due to bat surveys but we have it!!! Whoop whoop!!!

Can’t wait to see this unfold! First step is the demolition of the previous bungalow! Eek!!! Watch this space for updates as we progress!

This is probably my favourite part of any project . . . the design development stage!! It’s when all the concept elements and layout plans get elevated so you can really picture what the proposed design is all about! Here I have created an accurate 2D elevation and rendered it with realistic materials. It’s a great way to really see the design intent without going whole hog with a 3D visual…..we do 3D’s too though!! Swipe for more bar design development imagery! 🤩

Following on from my previous post about concept design, the next step is the space planning stage! This is when I really get to grips with a space, whether it is an existing bar, restaurant or home, or a brand new build where the room sizes need to work around the functionality of the space. It is vital to create spaces that cater to their inhabitants. This bar design is all about the functionality, making sure the circulation spaces between furniture works, that there is enough space behind the bar and enough storage within. Aesthetics must also play a part, symmetry and alignment is key!

When it comes to starting a new interiors project, whether it’s a new bar like this or a new open plan living design concept, this is the first and most important step! Getting the concept design right for the space and the client is so important, and that’s why I always start all my projects in this way. Images speak a thousand words. A great concept board gives my clients the look and feel of what I am proposing for their space and gives a real insight into what can be achieved. This is a small snippet of the 2 boards I created for my current bar project in Bournemouth. Next up…..bar design part II_space planning.

The master ensuite! Just a small part of a stunning grade II listed building refurbishment I worked on a few years ago! The client wanted traditional but classic designs throughout her Georgian country residence, but with a few contemporary twists…..like this gorgeous pewter bateau bath!

The last few months have absolutely flown by, I have been so busy with planning applications, extensions, bar designs and interior renovations! But I’m super excited to share that I have submitted this amazing new home for planning!!

What originally started as a consultation to help achieve the best internal layout and flow to my clients chalet bungalow conversion, altering the architects plans to help them realise the true potential of the layout of their home……soon turned into taking over the entire project and creating their dream family home. One structural engineer later and some very dodgy foundations, we have had to embark on a supersized task of designing their new build home!! Eek!!!

A little mountain getaway for my 40th and this is the hotel bar! Well, what an absolute beauty! Art Deco with a contemporary alpine twist beautifully executed! thank you for a fabulous stay!!

When I was asked to redesign a bathroom for some new clients, my initial design consultation couldn't have gone any better. I apparently hit the nail on the head with this concept and they absolutely love the designs. This is why I always take the time to get a full and thorough brief before starting the design process and I work in collaboration with my clients, to ensure they get their dream space! Can't wait to get this one on site next month!!

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to try my hand at pottery…..and today was an absolute dream come true! Vinegar Hill Pottery and B&B blessed us all with a wonderful intro into this beautiful art form, Dave was the perfect teacher and I cannot wait to go back to hone this potential new skill!! Amazing day, amazing food and amazing company!! Best birthday present ever! ❤️
