**British Food Fortnight: Inspiring the Next Generation**

British Food Fortnight, the UK's largest celebration of British food, is back from September 20th to October 6th, 2024. This annual event not only showcases the diversity and quality of British produce but also plays a crucial role in educating and inspiring young people about the importance of sustainable, nutritious food.

For many years, I have been supporting an amazing and inspiring primary school, and I am always honoured and excited to help. This school, like many others across the country, will engage in various activities designed to highlight the benefits of eating locally and seasonally. From special menus featuring British produce to interactive workshops with local farmers, young people will have numerous opportunities to learn about where their food comes from and why it matters.

One of the key goals of British Food Fortnight is to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in the next generation. By incorporating British produce into school meals and organizing educational events, the initiative aims to teach young people the value of supporting local farmers and making healthy food choices. This not only benefits their health but also supports the local economy and promotes environmental sustainability.

Morrisons, the official retail partner, is playing a significant role in this year's celebrations. Their community champions will be rewarding local groups that focus on increasing access to fresh, seasonal British food, further encouraging young people to get involved and make a difference in their communities.
