Kate will be there for most of the day and she's very happy to talk to you about her techniques and her background working for Aardman.

At the end of the session we will hang on to what is made, fire/glaze where necessary, and then email when the creation is ready for collection.

New Two Part Workshop!

Decorative Techniques - This creative, relaxed and fun workshop is a great skills builder or a lovely introduction to surface decoration in clay.

Across two sessions you will create a plaque filled with various techniques as well as creating underglaze and oxide colour wheels for your reference in future makes. These sessions cover pre and post firing decorative techniques.

Our September hand-building and throwing course dates are now bookable on our website.

5-Week Hand-Building: Sculpt a Fox 🦊
Over 5 sessions we will explore sculpting techniques. By the end of the course, you'll have a well-rounded set of skills to create a stunning fox face, mini maquette, and fox sculpture.

5-Week Throwing ☕
Over 5 sessions we'll teach you the art of throwing on the pottery wheel under the tuition of our expert team. Our overarching project will focus on making a set of 4 mugs, which will cover all the essential techniques needed to get a good foundation in throwing.

☀Summer Mini Throwing Workshops!☀

Summer Saturdays Drop-in Throwing Workshop! £30pp | 40minutes

Starting on Saturday 15th June, these sessions are open to six guests. These are mixed sessions so you may make some new friends along the way! The session starts with a demonstration from one of our professional teachers of how to throw. Then the remaining time is spent having a go on the wheel. We will be on hand to assist with centering the clay, but the main goal is to have fun and have a go!

We are unable to fire any pots made from this session, however you are welcome to take them away with you and let them dry out naturally and coat with paint or varnish.

Our time slots are as follows:

10:20 am - 11:00 am
11:10 am - 11:50 am
12:00 pm - 12:40 pm
1:20 pm - 2:00 pm
