🚴 Cycling is one of the very best ways to explore the beauty of the Peak District National Park, with benefits for both mental and physical health. Its wonderful landscapes offer something for every type of cyclist, at all levels. Mountain bikers are well provided for, as are serious road cyclists, but there's definitely no shortage of inspiration for those of us who just want to dust off the cobwebs, see the sights, and factor in a café or pub stop!

🌿 Buxton-based Carina Humberstone has been encouraging others to explore the great outdoors for over 30 years and loves nothing more than riding her bike through the British countryside. She is a qualified bike leader and a member of her local mountain rescue team. Carina is also the author of ‘Scenic Cycling in the Peak District’, a guide containing details of 19 beautiful circular cycling routes in the southern and central Peak District. 🌸 Bluebells are indicators of ancient woodland, thriving in woodlands that have existed for centuries. We have an outstanding bed of bluebells in Corbar and Gadley woods each May, but it is thought that only certain people are able to smell them, due to genetics!👃

♥️ Ship Inn, Wincle Under new management and recently refurbished, we had a lovely meal there last week. Many great walks nearby. Go and support them and take a look at their community events calendar.
♥️ The Chakra Lounge in Buxton. Relaxed atmosphere, warm welcome and great menu for brunch or lunch. (Mr Plattin Inn can never resist a chai latte and a chaat)
