Boyne Hill Scorpion Explorers

Our DofE Gold group completed their final expedition last week in the hills of the Brecon Beacons. Well done everyone, massive achievement partially in such wet conditions!

Thanks to everyone that supported Thomas & Paul by attending the quiz night on Saturday. We had nearly 50 people attend and made £625 in profit that will help support their trip with Berkshire Scouts in August to Malawi in Africa.

Back in October, the Explorers undertook their DofE Gold practice expedition in Dartmoor. The team did a brilliant job showing us that they are ready for the real thing later in the new year and they took away a few learning points from the weekend including don’t pack too much food as those bags can get heavy!!

Last weekend the Scorpions had a brilliant time Whitewater Rafting riding the rapids at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, just the activity to cool down.
