Remember when Iceland promised it would eliminate plastic across its private label range? Which found that "Iceland uses the most plastic relative to the number of items sold"

This story grabbed my attention. This just shows the cost of not recycling properly at home.

There are some troubling statistics in there. It would appear there's more education required as it's hurting taxpayers in the pocket?

PepsiCo leading the innovation journey for the larger brands:

They have recently announced: Another step in their journey to build a world where plastic never becomes waste - with a commitment to use 100% rPET in their beverage bottles by the end of 2021 in Germany and in Great Britain by the end of 2022.

What does this mean, it means PepsiCo will only buy recycled plastics to make their plastic products e.g. bottles etc.

What do we need to do as a consumer to help PepsiCo achieve this, we must recycle the bottles we use in the appropriate bins, at home, at work and on the streets.

Interesting to see landfill volumes are virtually the same as they were in 2010, with a slight increase in 2019. This is even with the UK's EfW capacity increasing from 4.2M in 2010 to 12.6M in 2019.
