This year it will be at Honey Farm,Pluckley, TN27 0SU on Saturday 21st September.

Ploughing is of course the main focus of the day, but it's always a fun day out for the whole family. There will be a farmer's market full of food and drinks stalls, local traders area with a variety of arts, crafts and gifts, plus a main entertainment area with displays, gymkhana and dog agility.
Plus, there will be us !! With our marquee packed full of all of your favourite brands from , , , , and .

Pre purchase tickets are available from the website or tickets can be purchased on the day.

We think it is wonderful that Emily is now working with us, fitting children's shoes in the very shop she came to for her own very first pair 😍

Her Mum let it slip .. and also that she had kept her shoes and the little keepsake box 😍
The receipt showed the size 3 1/2G first walker were fitted in 2009 and were £20 🤩
Little Emily isn't looking too happy to be in the shop in her photo, but years later,she is a valued member of our team, doing a great job, always with a smile on her face 🥰

Meet Clare ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not only is she our overall Store manager who oversees all departments and their smooth running on a day to day basis, she also heads up our children's shop.

All children will be breaking up for their Summer holidays on Friday, which means the start of our extremely busy Back To School time in store.

Clare has worked with us for 26 years now, so she knows exactly how to plan to make this very busy time as stress free as is possible for Mum's, Dad's, Children and also for her team. 🥰

She has a wealth of shoe fitting experience that she has passed on to her staff, who have all been trained in "The Golden Boot" way of fitting.

We have a team of nearly thirty fitters available for this very busy period. Lots of them have worked many,many Back To Schools. We have students who have come back from university to work the summer, having been Saturday staff and most of the regular faces you see on our shop floor are also trained school shoe fitters.
So whoever you see, you can be assured of the best advice and the best possible fit at all times.

Our school fitting appointment system is available and open online, so head over to our website to get your children booked in now.

We will always fit to allow for extra Summer growth, so we would like to encourage you all to come sooner rather than later!

Michael Fermor recently married his best friend Charlotte and looked fabulous ( and was comfortable) in his favourite brand boots.

He came to us for a new pair for his special day and decided on the limited edition, hand burnished bordeaux chinchilla boot and coordinating hide belt.

Michael is the director in Kent, another independent family business and also the best rose growers in the South East!
The business is a real family affair,working alongside his Dad and Uncle and it was originally set up by Michael’s Grandad, who still likes to get involved!

Lawrence joined The Golden Boot business in his twenty's alongside his father Bob Martin.
Edward also joined the business and worked alongside his Father in the shop in the 1990s up until very recently.

Edward is the seventh generation of the Randall-Martin family to head up The Golden Boot. He is pictured here with his Mother Sue at our recent "celebrate Summer" store event.
Sue is always a great help at our events, whether in the store or at our pop ups at or both coming up in the next few months.
Edward is very much a presence on the shop floor. Along with buying, dressing windows, embossing products and merchandising he's always ready to engage with our customers and talk shoes!

Here are just a few of our Children's team, who have been busy fitting children's shoes throughout the Easter holidays.

Before joining The Golden Boot team, we ask everyone to write a covering letter, detailing why they would like to join us and they then meet with both Clare, our store manager and Ed, our Managing Director.
Our new staff then undergo extensive training in both fitting and customer service.
Clare oversees all fittings and a fit check list needs to be completed before being awarded "Golden Boot trained fitter" standard.
We are stockists of shoes and many others. With so much to choose from, we aim to be able to fit most feet.

This week, our Men's Department has had a mini refit and we are excited to show you how light, bright and modern our casual side of the shop now looks.

Transformed in a few days, brands including , , , , and many others can now be seen and displayed much more clearly.

So the ☀️ made an appearance today albeit brief! It was just in time for the launch of some fabulous new styles from Introducing the Amoria shorts, Francesca hat and Soho camera bag.

We want to thank our lovely Jess for being our in store model today, taking a break from fitting shoes in our children's shop to present you a few different looks.

Jess is tall at 5 ft 9 and wears a size 10 normally, but here she is pictured in a size 12 in the shorts and a large in the hoody and cardigan for a more oversized, relaxed look.

We hope this gives you some Spring clothing and holiday shopping outfit inspiration.

We were delighted to welcome The Archbishop of Canterbury to our shop this Easter weekend.

The most Reverend Justin Welby had spent the week in Maidstone on various visits including Maidstone Museum and was keen to visit us too.

He was interested in the history of our business which was founded in 1790 and is the oldest and largest family run independent shoe shop in the UK. We are owned by the same family now for seven generations and we are the oldest surviving business in Maidstone.

We were thrilled that The Archbishop had time for shopping too, a new classic oxford was needed and we fitted him with the perfect pair from .
He also likes to routinely polish his shoes, so a leather Golden Boot polish pouch, complete with brushes and polish, was personalised with his initials while he had a photograph taken with some of the team.
What an honour to have The Archbishop of Canterbury visit us on The Easter Weekend.

Yesterday we had a visit from the owners of Diplock's of Bromley chocolate shop which was established in 1959.
Mum, Dad and daughter who all work together enjoyed a well earned day off, indulging in a little retail therapy with us buying from , and .

We are truly grateful to them for travelling from Bromley to shop with us and to chat all things shoes, clothing, customer service and the joys and stresses of it all!!

What an absolute pleasure it was to welcome George Elokobi into the store this afternoon. It’s George’s birthday tomorrow and he wanted something to wear for the big day, celebrating with his family. He decided on a pair of black suede R.M Williams Comfort Craftsman boots paired with a black pair of Pantherella socks.
Passionate, warm and inspiring are just a few of many positive words that describe George. What he and his team at Maidstone United have achieved so far is inspirational. The team at the Golden Boot and the whole of the Maidstone community are so very proud.
