Maidstone Market to Royal Star Arcade
Pad Thai Live began life at Maidstone Market, Lockmeadow, in November 2017, where we had just Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and Spring Rolls on the menu.
We’ve also wanted to deliver an experience close to that of the Street Food Markets of Thailand, where the drama of watching the food being cooked right in front of you, and the unmistakable scents of your Thai dishes being made have you tasting the food before it’s even been served!
We were soon bringing our Thai Street Food experience to Festivals and Farmers Markets (The pic above of us at Maidstone Farmers Market in May 2018), where watching the food being cooked was (almost) as important as the truly authentic recipes we use for every one of our dishes.
In June 2018 we opened full time in the stunning Gravesend Borough Market where we flourished, growing from 1 unit to the 4 we now occupy. We always have, and always will, resist the urge many restaurants succumb to by “westernising” our food. The fact that we are so popular with the local Thai community is a testament to this - and a great source of pride to us.
