🐻‍❄️Polar bears are the planet’s biggest land-based carnivores – although they actually spend most of their lives around water and ice (their Latin name means ‘sea bear’).

🌍While polar bears aren't currently classified as endangered, their populations are far from secure. With only approximately 22,000 polar bears remaining in the wild, climate change and global warming pose formidable challenges for these formidable predators.
