Super to be teaching First Aid in the sunshine today. Bringing new realistic challenges to the candidates. Eg …Move the person out of the heat and into a shady or air-conditioned place. Lay the person down and raise the legs and feet slightly. Remove tight or heavy clothing. Have the person sip chilled water, a sports drink containing electrolytes or another nonalcoholic beverage without caffeine.

Lots of team work going on today.

We are Running a first Aid at work course in Reddish Stockport on the 29th April. Are your employees First Aid qualifications up to date? Do you need First Aid qualification?

Regulated first aid training providers have to meet a set of standards set out by the ‘Awarding Organisation’, these include having a recognised teaching qualification.

The course is a fully regulated qualification therefore unlike unregulated courses as a business owner you will not be required to do yearly due diligence checks and training yourself with your staff which is required with unregulated courses!

Regulated qualifications the due diligence is already done for you by the awarding organisation and this meets all HSE criteria in relation to due diligence in regards to first aid.

Contact us to book your place. Only 12 places available as it is a qualification not just a first aid course.

In countries where schools teach basic life support, sudden cardiac arrest survival rates are much higher. our instructors have a background in education so are competent with teaching in a classroom environment.

The statutory guidance, to which schools must have regard, sets out that this should include basic first aid for primary school children, for example dealing with common injuries. Pupils in secondary schools should be taught further first aid, for example how to administer CPR and the purpose of defibrillators.

Never off duty. Happy to lend a hand at any Jason Baird's Black Belt Academy ltd so their first aiders could carry on coaching the the kick boxing 🥊. I definitely couldn’t lend a hand with that😂👊🏻

🚨PUBLIC ACCESS DEFIBS 🚨

We explain on Go Active First Aid courses how you need to give the ambulance service your post code/ current address so they can check where the nearest A.E.D. (Defib) is to your location. The 999 controller will then give the caller the code to enter into the box to unlock the defib. Our instructors are always met with comments like ‘why on earth are these locked’ well here are two images taken in Bangor North Wales. This is why sadly these very expensive but life saving machines need to be locked along with bleed control kits.

Construction sites 🚧👷‍♀️🧱🔨🔩🪚🦺

The HSE requires at least one appointed person on a site with fewer than five people.

If between 5-50 people work on the site, there needs to be at least one first aider trained in Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work. The level of first aid course needed will depend on the types of injury that could occur on the site.

If the site has more than 50 people working on it, there needs to be one first aider trained in First Aid at Work, for every 50 people (or part of 50 people).

In an emergency is one first aider really adequate? Is there always ONE casualty? 🤔What happens when people take annual leave?

To safeguard your construction workers and yourselves it is always best practice to have as many first aiders on site as possible. Our regulated courses can be for upto 12 delegates per course ensuring you will always have a qualified first aider on your sites covering all eventualities!
