Echoes Day Nursery

Diwali 🪔

Today Kavita who works in our Risings rooms visited the Preschool room to teach them about Diwali. She wore some lovely traditional wear and the children were commenting on the colours of her saree and how beautiful this was.

She created some beautiful Rangoli patterns for the children to explore and spoke about how Rangoli parents are used to enlighten during the time of Diwali.

A Rangoli pattern represents happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Shamila and Fran for everything they have done for the Echoes. They are both moving onto new senior roles in their new jobs.
They have both been such a big part of the Echoes family and will be missed by everyone.
We wish them all the best of luck for the future and will look forward to seeing you both again soon and hearing all about you new jobs !

👻Sharing the love for Halloween 👻

Today a small group of our Pre-school children went out into the city centre to share their love of Halloween. Getting into the community is a big part of our Echoes life as we feel that it is important for the children to experience the city and make relationships with the wonderful people around them.

The children visited our local businesses within the city and gave them some treats to brighten up their day! The people we met along the way loved seeing the children and having a chat with them about Halloween.

We love to share our love and happiness with the people of Manchester, and we hope everyone enjoyed their treats!

Thank you to all the families who joined us today for our Halloween stay and play session. We were so excited to see so many of you join us for our Halloween activities. The children loved seeing their families and enjoyed showing them what they do at nursery with their key person and friends.

For us we place a huge emphasis on involving our families into our nursery life as we feel that it is important for them to see what we get up to at nursery but also build relationships with our staff team and other families.

We cannot wait for you all to join us again in our next stay and play session.

✨Well-being and Wonder✨

This week at Echoes it is well-being week for all our staff. The staff within the baby room thought it was only fair to give back to the babies too for their well-being as we feel this is as important for them as well. Today we created calming experience for the babies to explore together using the water tray. They explored using a range of senses in a calming environment. The babies loved feeling the textures and splashing in the water together. Whilst exploring thee babies had sensory lights and calming music to go alongside.

Well 7 years ago Zoe popped into our lives at Echoes as she became the nursery manager. Over this time she has built a nursery, a staff team, parents partnerships and memories that will never be forgotten by any one.

Today was Zoe’s last official day as she will be continuing on her journey with MiChild to our sister nursery Moorevilla in Blackpool.

Zoe has always ensured that the children are at the forefront of everything that she did at Echoes and always wanted to give the children the best possible start in life.

She will be missed by everyone at Echoes and we wish her all the best and I’m sure we will still see her time to time at the nursery. ❤️

For our staff appreciation week at Echoes we had a visit from our CEO Adam. He brought the team some tasty Halloween doughnuts !!

✨ World Mental Health Day ✨

As part of world mental health day today we put breakfast on for the staff before they started working hard for the day.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it replenishes your supply of glucose to boost your energy levels and alertness, whilst also providing nutrients required for good health.

At Echoes we place looking after our staffs health and well being as a priority and we are always looking at different ways in which we can support this.

🌟 Joining generations - the graduates final visit 🌟
Today our children from the pre school room who will be shortly leaving for School visited the care home for the final time to say goodbye!

They made beautiful flower art with their friends at the home which they brought back to nursery and they even showed their fabulous singing voices by showing everyone the performance they did at the graduation!

The memories the children have shared with all of the lovely residents will last a lifetime and we cannot wait to start the programme again with our next set of pre school children in August!

We are exceptionally grateful to The Dell Residential Care Home for allowing us to share in such magical moments and for always making us feel so welcome!

Our June employee of the month went to our fabulous Shalan!

We couldn’t be prouder of Shalan and the impact she has made since joining us at Echoes! She has brought routine, structure, fun and energy to our Pre school room and she has big plans on how to drive the room forward to an outstanding level!

Shalan is a valued part of both the senior management team and also the wider team at Echoes and we are very excited to see Shalan’s journey in the nursery and see her continue to grow and develop as one of our leaders!

This award was also given in line with feedback which Shalan received from our MiChild senior management team and in particular our COO Pauline, who was very happy with the learning walk delivered by Shalan on the pre school room during her last visit!

🌟Senior team meeting! 🌟
Our senior managers at Echoes met this evening to discuss the next steps for our fabulous nursery!

The term is almost over and it’s now time to plan ahead for the future and look at the key development areas and also celebrate our successes!

The senior team are the driving force of our nursery and together they work hard to effectively support the wider team and ensure that the nursery is always delivering on high quality care and education.

There are some exciting things ahead and the team cannot wait to share them with you all 💚🌟
