About time we did some metal work again!

We’re absolutely thrilled with how this spider dining table base turned out, although it looks simple it took us an hour of head scratching and another hour of drawing to finally figure out how to make it 😂

We absolutely love a challenge and all of the fabrication on this base really pushed our skills to the limit, over the moon with the end result, and that matte black finish…👌👌😍

Lovely little media unit coming together nicely! 👌

Pieces like this are always a fun challenge for us as every component and every joint has to be laid out and cut with complete precision to make sure everything lines up nice and square once assembled and glued up.

It’s fair to say the glue up was a tad stressful 😅

Plenty of work still left to do, including installing 6 push to open drawers as well as 2 push to open doors at the bottom of the unit, not to mention about six million hours of sanding! 💤💤

Can’t get enough of this high quality European Oak from 😍

Multi-panel laminations are such an important part of making bespoke furniture from solid wood, jointing the edges of the boards about to be glued together is absolutely crucial in order to be able to achieve a seemless joint between the boards.

As you can see on the first picture these boards have quite a noticeable gap down the middle where they’re going to be glued, however with a little bit of finesse and a sharp plane we can joint the edges of the boards so once they go together there are no more visible gaps and the two boards look like one! 🪚👌

SO satisfying 😍

This individual piece has been specially built to house some internal piping and duct work, replacing an old cover that didn’t facilitate easy access to all of the pipes.

Another job done and this one was a bit different…

We were commissioned by our wonderful client to build a Solid Oak over door canopy, with some chunky Solid Oak support legs, complete with a waterproof felt tile roof. We also used some fairly complex maths to be able to match the clients roof pitch exactly! 😮‍💨🙌

This piece was incredibly satisfying to both build and fit (Even though getting it up onto the wall definitely gave us a workout!)

Another renovation job for completed!

We have been tasked with giving the banquet and bar tables of the popular Stockport cafe and bar a spruce up and it’s safe to say we’re incredibly pleased with how the renovations are going so far 😍

Totally in love with how these special bespoke end tables turned out 😍😍

We were commissioned by a very special client of ours to make 2 very minimalist end tables to complement the dining table we made for her a little over a year ago, we’re so grateful to be able to work with such a hospitable and visionary client. The design she chose was beautiful and the finish even more so! 🙌

These end tables are made from 100% Solid European Oak and include solid wood panels and hand cut 3 way mitre joints for the legs. The finish is a combination of pre ager “Authentic No 4” and then a top coat of their Oil Plus 2C “Black” to achieve a really natural aged Edwardian Oak aesthetic.

Over the moon with how this piece turned out! 🎉🌕

This bespoke commissioned display cabinet was constructed using Solid European Oak and tempered glass.

The display unit features Solid Oak construction, sliding tempered glass doors with etched finger pulls and glass shelves, convenient push to open cabinet doors at the bottom of the unit as well as solid Oak shelving inside the base cabinet and to top it all off we have installed integrated dimmable LED lighting to add some extra class and drama to the piece.

This unit could not have gone to a better home and were honoured to be working alongside some fantastic clients who are in the process of revamping and sprucing up their space, more to come!..💯

The canopy build is coming together very quickly! 🔥🔥😮‍💨😮‍💨

Absolutely loving this project, it’s certainly giving our brains a good stretch having to figure out all of the angles and dimensions 🥴

We’re making some fantastic progress on the custom booth tables commissioned by our fantastic clients

All of the table tops have been sanded, we make sure to be very sparing with sanding on reclaimed wood as we feel over machining can remove a lot of the character from the timber.

We’re applying some high quality polyurethane varnish to the tops so we can ensure that they last for many many busy nights to come at Bar and Cafe!

It’s always great when we get to make up a custom colour chart for a client. We made this board to showcase some of ‘s fantastic aged look finishes on Oak.

From authentic dulled natural tones to weathered greys and silvers. We LOVE how much these finishes can completely alter the look of a custom piece.

Easy to apply and always looks great 😍💯💯

Few woodworking techniques cause as much controversy as adding bow tie inlays to a table.

For this order they are a necessity as inlaying them into the underside of the table will help to stabilise the splits in the reclaimed timber, meaning the cracks cannot get any wider over time, ensuring these tables will keep their rustic look for many years to come!

We’re very excited to be working with Cafe and Bar in Stockport on some awesome new fixtures for their booth seating area!

We’re currently working on some rustic, industrial style booth tables, made from reclaimed scaffold boards and some chunky steel box section for the legs (Fabricated in house) 🔥⚡️

And we’re back! Apologies for the lack of posts, the workshop has been busier than ever 💪

The last order to go out of the door was this stunning 3 piece living room furniture set for a fantastic local customer.

Originally purchasing an English Walnut and Pearlescent Blue Epoxy Table, our customer tasked us with building some small end tables using the same timber and black steel base construction to match the coffee table and her newly revamped living room interior 🏠

Were very proud of how this order turned out and were thrilled to have worked with such a fantastic client, always makes the job so much easier 💯 👌

Nice little custom order in the works… we’ve been commissioned to provide a local client with 2 live edge end tables and a set of epoxy river coasters to match their existing epoxy river table, also made by us!

This a nice little custom TV stand we were commissioned to build by a couple of wonderful local clients.

The angled steel work for the base was fabricated completely in house (including painting) 🎨🖌️

And to finish it off, all of the woodwork was joined, notched and cut to to fit the frame perfectly 👌 It’s always nice to use some high quality European Oak in a custom build.

Lovely little job completed for a local customer! This piece turned out even better than we thought it would.

We love the gorgeous colour of the Dark Oak Stain on the Solid Mango Wood and to top it off a nice thin coat of hard wax oil buffed to a satin sheen 👌
