Salam everyone!!

Hope you all are safe and you’re practising good social distancing and self-isolation.

Just wanted to remind you all, it is the time of the year where we recruit new committee members for the society!

We are looking for people to apply for the following roles:

· Chair: Directs the committee and is responsible for the overall working of the committee and the society and communication with the Student Union. Represents the society and provides leadership.

· Vice-Chair: Assists the Chair in the running of the society. Responsible for organising and planning committee meetings with Chair.

· Treasurer: Handles the society's finance and is in charge of attaining more funding (i.e. through Fund it). Responsible for the financial aspect of sponsorship.

· General Secretary: Responsible for communication between committee, society members.

· Social Officer(s): Responsible for organising and promoting (through posters and Facebook event pages) social events.

· Communications Officer: In charge of sending out society emails to keep members up to date and updating the club’s social media accounts (Facebook group, Twitter, Instagram) to promote both the society itself.

Being a committee member comes with great responsibility. Please make sure you have the time management skills to balance this commitment with your academic studies and other aspects of your life.

More than 300 people attended this event which was organised by 6 societies!

The event was about displaying the culture for each country of the Gulf Countries.

The health and safety of the students and community is our highest priority.
Therefore, to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, we cancel the lecture of Prof Hussein Abdou for this Saturday and all the activities of the society are closed until further notice.
